He disappear because he want to leave bitcoin free and let the other people to continue his work to continue developed bitcoin into a better one. Satoshi Nakamoto is still there watching the progress of bitcoin and for sure, he don't want to introduce himself because he don't want any trouble since he got a lot of bitcoin.

Satoshi Nakamoto as far as i know of him he as a Japanese businessman who invented the first Cryptocurrencies/Cryptography or deploying the first decentralized digital currency, implementing the first blockchain, But his personality or about his life is still unknown he is still a mysterious man to all of us and to all over the world..

He would probably remain in our life no matter what we owe him everything that we have right now and I think that he deserves to be treated as a hero and will give an honour for a great job for inventing bitcoin and bringing it in the public.

I think the reason for his "disappearance" is that he never existed. Most likely it was a group of programmers representing the interests of some government structures. I do not think that it was one person.

Actually no one knows if it is a group or a person, but as far as I research about it, i found out that satoshi nakamoto was the one who invented bitcoin way back then in 2009. Actually he did not plan to make a coin what he wants to do was to have a one way transaction but suddenly he end up of making a first cryptocurrency in the world which is bitcoin.
