Does this support XMR-STAK (or any plan for future inclusion)?

Minera 0.9.0 doesn't support Gridseed anymore?

I've read above that you are using forced browser mining now (to make some cash - nothing wrong with that), but having this process run while trying to simply update the repo list (which is what I assume is making my pi run like a Zx81) is just ridiculous.

It's obviously caning all of the pi's resources.

Are there any plans to remove this forced mining in newer versions and maybe introduce a premium version instead? If not, Minera is no longer of any use to me as this is just crazy.

Actually is an issue that there is forced mining, even if you visit getminera.com it forces you to mine.

My issue is that its done in a sneaky and dishonest manner, if the developer is hurting this much for money, then he might implement other techniques that will steal hash rates from minners or compromise our wallets.

Just offer minera as a paid service...

You still didn't understand how browser mining is working, it doesn't have anything to do with your RPI. It's a BROWSER mining not Rpi-CPU mining. So it doesn't waste or use any RPI resources, it uses your browser idle CPU instead and only when you look at Minera web interface from any PC/Mac.
And by the way, it's not hidden, you have full control over it, you can just go to the settings page and turn it off forever.

So please do not continue to tell me I'm a thief or anything like that because it's simply false. And lastly, if you still have problems, don't use Minera.

@michelem

Some suggestions for network miners...currently have a bunch connected via API, and for each API call for each miner minera "grays" out and needs a refresh. Not sure if this is intended, but API calls should be executed in the background and not require a refresh before you can do anything else. For example if I want to switch pools on lets say 10 connected miners, it should take a few seconds to go down the list and just select the pool you want switched, but right now it takes several minutes, since you have to wait for the whole page to refresh on each call.

Thanks for the feedback, but sadly I have no time now to look at this, I mean I haven't either a Minera where I am now, btw that isn't a regular behavior probably there is a bug around it.

What are you talking about, I went to your site on my laptop, and of all of a sudden my cpu and fans get maxed out, computer starts acting slow.

I did not give you permission to max out my cpu, you do not inform anyone, anywhere, on your site that sates that you "stealing" cpu power.

If you think what you are doing is morally correct, then you have moral issues, and will most likely escalate your thefts to fit your agenda.

At this point, I wouldnt even use or recomened anyone to use your product. Even if you stoped and started to charge people for your services.

Honestly man, how do you think its morally correct to use peoples cpu without their permission. And yes it is stealing and that makes you a thief.

*edit*

I hate to be harsh, its awesome that you are providing a cool open source software, its rare these days, but from our point of view, how can we trust someone thats pulling something what you are doing. In this day of age, you need to charge people for your services. The only competition out there is awesome miner, and they charge a hefty price.

I don't mean to call you a thief, im sure your intentions are good willed and I hope the best for you.

Gridseed on Minera works fine. 0.8.1 or 0.9.0 hasn't any difference for Gridseed. What kind of miner software do you use? What's the problem? Did you check the miner software console?

You are only able to post comment like "it doesn't work", well, want to know something? Who cares? Not me.

You know whats morally incorrect? You trying to use free software that people have put hundreds of hours into, releasing it for free as open source to the community, WITH an option to disable CPU mining on the front page (did i mention its OPEN SOURCE and you can just remove the code yourself?), then coming on here and calling the developer a thief.

Hes not hiding anything, your choosing to use this free software, and you have zero grounds to say what your saying. Its people like you that discourage people like us in crypto that try to offer tools to help the community as a whole for continuing to do what we do.

Is there an option to turn this off when you visit his site? Not from the software. Nothing in life is free and the developer thinks its better to use peoples hardware without  consent. Honestly man your reply is just impulsive and nonsense. Learn  to critically think and respond accordingly.

BTW, its not free software if hes is taking your cpu power, especially without consent. Doing so is shady, and I doubt anyone is willing to risk their farm with a shady developer.

I have 44 s9's at my server farm, looking for sofware to manage them remotely easier, paying a few dollars is nothing. People are making a killing on farming.

That seems to work fine, what's the problem? What's the Minera version? Did you also try the CPUminer? That should be the best choice for Gridseed.

I finally got minera up and running after days of trying (the SD card i was using was corrupted). WISH I HAD DONE THIS EARLIER!

Now I am running into a problem which I don't know is actually a problem or me just being a n00b pl3b, but as the subject line reads, my gekko's are not being recognized by minera.

My current set-up is Raspberry Pi 3 (B), 12-port usb hub, 3 Antminer U2's (all running as expected) and 2 Gekkoscience rev2.
I'm currently using cgminer with options "--anu-freq 250 --compaq-freq 150 --retries=1"
The 2 Gekko's don't even show under the devices. There was 1 instance where ONE of the Gekko's showed up (I'm assuming it was the Gekko with device # AMU0 (as opposed to Antminer ANU#)) but it was running at around ~220 MH/s...
I unplugged and plugged back in the both of them, and then it was back to square one with none of them showing up. I've tried using every possible usb slot I have as well. Both devices light up green when plugged in but that's it. Any suggestions??

I wanted to install cgminer-gekko but I'm not too comfortable with the custom stuff yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime I luckily bought an extra RPi for sand box testing so I'll just install Raspbian on that for now for my Gekko's.

First of all gekko must be on USB 2.0 if connect to 3.0 it doens't work.

Then someone needs to add this: dwc_otg.speed=1 to the file /boot/cmdline.txt
Add it at start of line followed by space, then reboot and try again.

I’m having a similar issue. When I plug my U3 into a usb3.0 powered hub it is not recognized. Can i use the  dwc_otg.speed=1 and where do I find the cmdline.txt file in the minera web ui?

Hes not hiding anything, your choosing to use this free software, and you have zero grounds to say what your saying. Its people like you that discourage people like us in crypto that try to offer tools to help the community as a whole for continuing to do what we do.

how true is this in the first place? im on his site and my computers running normally... is there anything in the code to make it 'mine' for the dev?

Yes there is but you can easily stop it from the settings page clicking the button "Stop browser mining", as you can see it's all transparent for the user I didn't hide anything about this, of course it's enabled by default but just go to the settings page to disable it.

Hi! The Linux newbie is here.
How do you guys add lcustom local miner? I've read the Minera wiki but the article was not clear to me (to be honest, I do not know how to compile). To be specific, I want to set it up and running with Moonlanders
If this has been discussed earlier please point it to me. I would really appreciate any help!

Hello, I'm new to this area. I have two antminer U1 running with bfgminer on. But minera shows me no frequency and no temperature of the two USB sticks. How can you solve this? And how can you change the frequency of the two sticks? are there no preconfiguration for these sticks?

I don't think U1 has temp sensors so that's why you can't see it.
Instead for frequency you have to put extra options in the settings page but I don't know what: check something here https://github.com/luke-jr/bfgminer/blob/bfgminer/README.ASIC and here https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMining/comments/1w8lpm/antminer_u1_how_to_setup_guide/
