here's some pertinent info between rand paul and cryptocurrencies. apparently he wants a walmart coin called WalCoin, backed by walmart stock.

During the panel discussion at the Lincoln Labs Reboot conference, Rand Paul said he would like to see, what he called, "WalCoin."

Rather than Bitcoin, he said he would like to see about 10 retailers get together and create their own e-currency. WalMart and others. He said it could be called WalCoin and be backed by WalMart stock.

I began to wonder what kind of Aqua Buddha drugs Rand is on when he thinks monetary theory.

Ya, he's out to lunch on crypto and while he may have good intentions, he's too busy on the many other issues going on to promote the liberty message. Let's face it, we're not bogged down in DC and flying all over making friends w/ supporters and donors so we're able to spend ample amounts of time catching up to speed on this. I give him an A+ on everything else he's trying to do.

Pretty good exposure for Rand. They correctly pointed out that Sen. Paul will be a target for the others since he is showing strong so early. Can he go the distance without making any big mistakes? stay tuned...

1) Name recognition from running before, and being on TV a lot as a commentator.
2) Evangelical Christians picking him since he is "one of them".

I think he is referring to Jeb Bush. He is not very old. Either way no one named Bush will win a national election any time soon.

I disagree.

Remember, election is won by electoral college vote and not popular vote. You only need to convince around 30-40% of population in any given district to win a national election since half of the country don't bother to vote.

americans hate congress more and more, and we are to expect record low turnout levels because people are realizing more and more that their vote doesn't really count for shit.

I would vote for Pual Ryan. He is a solid conservative who is fiscally responsible.

Not to come off like a jerk or perhaps you aren't aware of this guy's supposed fiscally conservative notions but his relatively recent plan (couple years ago) to balance the budget didn't actually balance it for another 39 years. Every true fiscal conservative in the House voted against it. Now, he's come up w/ an election year budget balancing act plan that will take place in 10 years and it's based upon dubious claims. All in order to get republicans to unify behind all republicans up for election and reelection despite the majority being RINOs that are increasingly despised by the party base. I'll go so far as to say that Ryan is being trotted out their as the last high level republican linked to party leadership, that has some form of respect and trust from many on the base, to sell the snake oil and potentially give the GOP the Senate again and gains in the House that will materialize to do next to nothing to reign in spending. W/O a President in the libertarian vein like a Rand Paul, you'll get no change in DC at all. I'm done w/ alleged conservative fraudulent republicans that are willing to pull a 2000-2008 all over again if they get the White House and Congress again as their track record as status quo republicans can tell you exactly what to expect.

^ he's new, might just be trolling. paul ryan is a terrible choice. he wants to cut spending domestically, and then he wants to take the money saved to spend on an already ballooned "defense" industry. basically he wants americans to pay up so his friends can make more money off war.

yeah he's a classic politician.. i don't even question whether he is a sociopath or not. and i think most americans know that he is a hack, so good luck if he's your GOP nominee. rand paul is the only republican that i won't say "fuck no" to. everyone else is just a hack siting in some rich guy's pocket.

Jeb Bush is the nicer, smarter brother. 
I do NOT want to see him win, but Mrs. Clinton vs 'Bush 3' would be a really interesting battle.
