But the wallet keeps giving me this error. Been like for a couple of days now. Restarted both many times plus the whole PC. Wasn't running latest versions but is now with no improvement. On Win 7. I haven't changed any settings.

https://i.imgur.com/s91VLEh.jpg

Try opening a cmd shell and command "netstat -a" with daemon running.

Look for a line like
Quote
  TCP    127.0.0.1:23081        MyHost:0              LISTENING

If you don't find it then your daemon is not listening for connections on the required port. If you do find it then there must be something preventing your wallet from opening the port, probably antivirus/firewall. Try a temporary disable of the firewall/antivirus if that's the case to verify if the firewall/antivirus is the culprit. If it is then you need to add an exclusion.

It's Windows firewall that's causing the problem, even though there is an exclusion set for it. I have the same annoying problem with the tor browser.

If I disable the firewall and start the daemon and wallet I can then re-enable it after they sync and it will work fine.

Aah, the joy of computers....

Windows firewall is not very secure and in my opinion a free alternative like zone alarm is better.

Price is up more 300% already?  Sad Shocked
Action has already begun before I plan to start it  Grin

i cannot start because the wallet don't send payment but sole money

Hold it. Don't rush to sell now. It just begins. I didn't sell when QCN was 3$, why should I sell now?

the problem will remain..i lost 29 QCN

Did you try to contact poloniex ? They are a little slow but they solved a lot of missing deposits for my acquaintances.

In Europe, we use metric system, play football and use dates in dd-mm-yyyy format

I am from Europe as well, and that date is still 9th of September.

month before the day? Next thing will be to measure fuel consumption in mpg and argue if decreasing it from 25mpg to 30 is as easy as from 40 to 45 Tongue

There is new guys coming in dev team ?  I didn't see the announcement. If it's true it's a really good news.

If we have also announcement on what they are planning to work on, it will be ever better.

I think QCN community is still a lil bit too shy. We really need to promote QCN on this forum, on chat exchanges, irc, twittter...

cheers

Nice pic Smiley https://twitter.com/QuazarCoin/status/478838506882879488

I spoke about the promo team and I'll try to introduce to the dev team this week.

Time off to sleep ... ( ̄︶ ̄)~

It's all one CryptoNote-Movement, (with supirior tech) aiming for privacy and avoiding the faults made developing Bitcoin.
However like a tree, some branches will flourish, and some wither and die.
The crypto coin world has become more sophisticated in a very short time, and it's becoming clear that there is a lot more to be done to help any coin find a useful place in the world than just making the coin.
The Developer has done many things right so far...but it's clear that a *team*, and a community is needed for a coin to find a place and  contribute to humanity, which this coin can do

I totally agree with you.

Time off to sleep ... ( ̄︶ ̄)~
