>> Wallet update <<

New BoostCoin v4.4.0.5 wallets which include some important security fixes, including the BIP 66 implementation
Thanks to greenmo for reminding me about this earlier today.

Windows:
https://mega.nz/#!sApEHRrZ!bjWUkQD058iqucfh4dyLJzmR0u2mz5Ehxo2eYonCPzY

Mac:
https://mega.nz/#!oQZD2SZQ!h7EnredOCm3rjRcUqBGSUVENkJpuZ4WH-QiBTIhnZgY

Please update as soon as possible.

Also remember, same rules as before. Until we have full confirmation that the exchanges and service provider have updated their wallet, do not to move any coins between wallets that are not on version 4.4.0.5 or above

You must re-sync from block 0

Follow these steps to re-sync:

1) From in your wallet make a backup. Use the File / Backup Wallet menu and make sure you save the backup somewhere safe
2) Close your wallet
3) delete all your block chain data but do not delete wallet.dat

Your blockchain data is normally found in these support folder locations...

Delete all files except wallet.dat and any boostcoin.conf files you might have created
Windows: C:\Users\<<username>>\AppData\Roaming\BoostCoin
Mac: /Users/<<username>>/Library/Application Support/BoostCoin
Ubuntu: /home/<<username>>/.boostcoin

4) Start your wallet again and wait for it to connect to the network.
5) Once it has started to download the blockchain, exit your wallet again
6) Download this file and extract the bootstrap.dat file, then place in the support folder.
https://mega.nz/#!tA4nBS5a!tvQL_2mlzUU8xTAEh69HjPHrixwOPT4JMkRfOIL3PUQ

7) Start your wallet and wait for it to fully sync against the new block chain.

Please check the block explorer for the latest block height information

Hello,

mammix2 did you have had personal contact with the administrators of Cryptsy in regard to the deamon update? Or did you leave a message?
I have left Cryptsy 2 messages regarding the Boostcoin update but have never received a reply from them outside an email notice that they received my messages (what ever that is worth.)

I hope i am not sounding arrogant; i try to help with thinking along. Maybe use of Twitter could be helpfull?

Yes, you will need to build the libevent-dev dependencies before compiling the wallet

on ubuntu:
sudo apt-get install libevent-dev

I have had a reply from Cryptsy, so they are still alive. They did not mention the update in the Boostcoin network. They replied with saying that they experienced withdraw issues and that they are solving this problem. Read for your self:

Currently we are experiencing problems with our withdrawal system.
If you place a withdrawal for BTC LTC DASH BTCD and a few other coins, you may experience delays.

You will receive notice once we have resolved this problem

If you would like to cancel a withdrawal, please create a "new" ticket and choose "Cancel Withdrawal"
from the ticket type.

Please see http://blog.cryptsy.com/ for current and future updates.

We appreciate your patience while we resolve these issues.

Sincerely,
Cryptsy Customer Service

So i guess we have to wait, maybe send them some messages from time to time that we are still waiting.
Mammix2 did you have any news from BTC38 and Cryptsy regarding the update?

HI, i still haven't heard anything from Cryptsy.
The BTC38 update is very close, BTC38 have taken a copy of the source code and wallets from me today for review and testing, now they are back from Chinese new year holidays.
Fingers crossed it will happen soon.

Thanks
M

>> Update <<

Unfortunately we're still waiting for BTC38 to update their wallet.

Edit:

We've had some feedback form BTC38, and will be making some changes to the new plan. In the meantime all the nodes and explorers will go offline over the next few days while the updates are made.

Thanks for your patience
