Latest BoostCoin wallets

This is an interim update while we prepare for a major update to the network and source code rebase to a later more secure version which will be ready in the near future. This update includes:
- New hard coded checkpoints,
- Better flushing of peer data when switching between Tor and Non-Tor networks,

Is there something wrong with the boostcoin network? My wallet v4.4.1.3 Core will not sync. Stuck at block 897732.

Hi, the network is running fine, all nodes are at the same block height as the explorer.
There have been a few updates since v4.4.1.3 . Please download the latest wallet available and you might need to re-sync from block 0 to ensure you are on the correct chain.

Here is an up to date copy of the BOST blockchain for you to use if you want to speed up synching...

I have downloaded the latest wallet (4.4.8.0) and the blockchain. After syncing the last block I have 0 balance. The transaction history is shown good. Where are my boostcoins?

i assume you kept a copy of the wallet.dat file safe?

Try starting the wallet from the command line using the -rescan argument, this will scan every previous transaction in your wallet.

e.g.

Code:
boostcoin-core-qt-x64-v4.4.8.0.exe -rescan

It is solved! I have started the wallet without adding the blockchain files and let it sync from scratch. The coins are back now! Thank you for your reply!

Correct BoostCoin is not dead.
Because of the descision by BTC38 to remove a large number of currencies from their site and swap the users balances into a new project called INFchain, things are changing...
http://www.btc38.com/trade_en.html?btc38_trade_coin_name=inf

This was completely out of our control, but the good thing is that all users can withdraw their BOST after the value swap, so it can still be traded over at C-Cex.

BoostCoin News

The future of BoostCoin.

Background:
As most of you know BoostCoin was the first ever X13 Proof of Work + Proof of Stake hybrid blockchain to exist. Still going strong after 3.5 years, the blockchain has gone through many iterations implementing new technologies along the way.

Recent events in China:
The decision made by the Chinese Cryptocurrency Exchange BTC38 to swap the values of many coins they had listed into a project called INFchain (INF) has created a new opportunity for all BOST holders.
After banning all ICO activates and recent news from the Chinese regulatory authorities that they are banning all local exchanges from trading any AltCoin for Chinese Yuan (CNY) to curb illegal money movements, these actions looks likely to completely wipe all value in the INFchain project, as at present it can only be traded in China against CNY. This present a huge opportunity for BOST, as all BTC38 account holders were allowed to withdraw their BOST holdings after the values had been exchanged into the INFchain currency. A recent look at their cold storage reserves on BTC38 shows only about 133k BOST left on there. This means that the rest of the ~12m coins in existence have been transferred out of the exchanges into the users’ wallets, making them available to trade elsewhere such as https://C-Cex.com

Opportunity:
New and existing users from China and the rest of the world can continue trading in BOST against Bitcoin (BTC) outside of the Chinese regulations.

Next developments:

BOST v2: It’s time for a complete network overhaul and move onto a more up to date code base.

Re-enable Anonymous messaging: Many of you have PM us regarding this feature, and now that BOST is moving from the Chinese markets this will give you the tools to be able to message each other freely and anonymously, especially if you are connected using the built in Tor-Proxy mode!

Tor network code update: The current Tor network will be updated to bring it in line with current developments

Re-enable X13 Proof of Work mining rewards: Dust of your mining kit because a new PoW reward phase will be coming back soon. Mining pools will be available for you to create new coins and help increase the network stability.

DPOS: Another great feature you’ve been asking for. The current PoS structure needs overhauling to help stop spikes in the staking weight. The new PoS structure will be available when a future soft fork update is applied. The PoS reward will be statically set and increase gradually during a new schedule (to be published) to ensure growth of the network value.
