I thought that sounded familiar.
This sounds like an interesting concept to having 2 block chains working together and for each other.
But here's a question thought.....
If we are storing our value in Verium, why do that if there's an incentive to keep your value in VeriCoin -- as because if we are staking our coins we earn interest, thus creating more value for us. If it's stored in Verium we are not earning anything.
Why not do both? Devs are already working on optimizing the VeriCoin wallet to use 60% less resources, are finishing up the update to the Verium miner code to be more efficient for mining. They have mentioned wanting to merge the wallets into one, so why can't you mine and stake at the same time? With a possilbe requirment to hold Verium and VeriCoin to be able to do the decentralized anonymous swap in wallet with a 10 to 1 ratio. Just like having a vault at home with gold for savings and holding value and your chequing account at your bank for spending and earning interest.

Something I have thought about is imagine if Satoshi had started bitcoin with two blockchains, linked together in a wallet like VRC/VRM is envisioned to be. VRC, like Bitcoin Unlimited, built for transactional efficiency, and VRM acting like BTC Core, an immutable store of value. Maybe there wouldn't be the battle there is today between the two camps in Bitcoin. Instead Core would remain primarily security focused as a store of value and BTU would be free to try changes aimed at keeping the payment system competitive. Not only that but you get a certain level of anonymity when you deposit in your VRM vault, like a Swiss bank. It's the best of all worlds in one wallet. No, it's VeriSwiss TM. Please deposit VRM marketing funds in my bitcoin address below One other thing I just thought of -- second layer payment options like a LN riding on top of VRM could give the vericoin system a third layer for microtransactions. The VeriTriad TM Edit: VRC to VRM dual thread connection TestNet (VeriThreadtm)VRM: VJ1a71E6G45LtTDedxWgAYaMbFk32qufuS

How? It will just be two different coins. They'll never work together on a complex and integrated project like this. They hate each other.

It would be hard for them to change anything in Bitcoin without the consent of the miners, the miners have all the power. PoST/PoWT joined is brilliant in my mind, all the positives of both with none of the draw backs because they cover each other.

would anyone be so kind to make an ELI5 here? I was considering buying some VRC for my diversified portfolio on Polo but then I started reading about Verium. Will VRC be here for the long run or replaced? Are you waiting for some integration of the two blockchains that will drive the price up in the short term you think?
thanks

Vericoin and Verium are here to stay, not going anywhere...the devs are working on the code for both wallets to be as efficient as possible for staking and mining then move on to the trading wallet integration. More projects being worked on by other 3rd party developers and more to come

ppl are looking to invest in your coin and are trying to find reasons to do so.
this forum is a very important place to keep up to date.
I was looking backward and most comments are some kind of jokes (I hope).
Can you please provide a list of features that makes your coin different than the others.
What was done and what needs to be done?
Where do you see this coin in the future?
Thanks

Yeah sorry about that...I should stop messing with the trolls (rafael) aka Puerto Rico Baby Madoff Vericoin and Verium are unique in the crytpo space, Vericoin is the only digital currency running thr PoST protocol which was developed for VeriCoin. Verium is the only digital asset running the PoWT protocol which was developed for Verium. VeriCoin and Verium are a developing financial ecosystem which will form a dual blockchain mechanism which will facilitate an ever growing and scalable asset and currency exchange. In other words we are a solution to the Bitcoins problems. Bitcoin can not be an asset and a currency, it can only be one or the other (this is my view of the problem and mine only) VeriCoin allows a quick, secure and easy to use currency that can also be staked and gain interest. Verium is the asset which can be mined and used to further secure and speed up transactions of VeriCoin. The future joining of the coins through AUX mining(Verium mining both VeriCoin and Verium blocks) which will further decentralize, secure and speed up transactions of VeriCoin. The future decentralized, anonymous and untraceable exchange/trading between the two possibly locked in a 10 to 1 exchange which will allow the locking of a fixed price exchange. That's just the tip of the iceberg for me and why I'm so excited for the future developments of VeriCoin and Verium.

Is it possible for someone to buy out the private exchange? The 10 - 1 VRC to VRM exchange when it comes out?

It's not a for sure thing just ideas floating around for the 10 to 1 exchange. They won't be able to buy out the exchange because you need to hold both to do the exchange between the two. It's an in wallet exchange across the two chains which will be untraceable, anonymous and decentralized (unlike Dash). You would be able to do the exchange between yourself (wash your own coins) or between others. The 10 to 1 exchange would only be the annonyous trade in wallet, but again this an idea that the devs are thinking about. Nothing set in stone yet and they may choose not to do a lock exchange.
