Hello,
Anyone tested on old GPU like HD-5970?
try it out works on 6970/50 While it may work, pre GCN cards are bad at primecoin mining, there's no way around it.

hi everybody, I just wanted to let you know, that I integrated madmax' source code & extremal's v3 optimizations into my primecoin pool miner, "xolominer", which can be used to mine on www.beeeeer.orgThe official announcement can be found here: ppc/xpm-talk ANN threadI integrated a developer fee (1%) pointing at madmax' donation address. Also, it's experimental and not 100% perfect yet (missing some comfort features and cleanup). Well, uhm... thank you so far. - xolokram ps. I'll try this monitor this thread here, but I'm more active on the ppc/xpm-talk board nice and works on 69xx series wish there was a solo ver too Errrm have you read this lately Maybe you know me from my other thread where i launched a new XPM pool + GPU miner: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=598542.0If yes, you also know that it failed because of DOS attacks and other general server problems. I've now decided to go open source, with the pool server and the GPU miner. Now everyone with the expertise can create an XPM pool and also create new miners that work with the same protocol. Also anyone with basic bitcoin code knowledge can make a solo-miner out of it. EDIT: It's now available. The pool server code is located at: https://github.com/madMAx43v3r/xpmpoolAnd the GPU miner code is at: https://github.com/madMAx43v3r/xpmclientUPDATE: The solo-mining server code is at: https://github.com/madMAx43v3r/xpmserverThe solo-mining server binaries can be downloaded at:For Windows: https://mega.co.nz/#!hRAmGRAQ!cbYlm-meXprzImw-vQ5COnBQiWtgPFXJeJtTs-041AIFor Linux: https://mega.co.nz/#!NZAHWC6b!FyeF6aKZ32KPs_Ns0NwZsEGaOWkNAlwfSz76hO-Dg_kNote: The windows version crashes on shutdown, have not been able to fix this. EDIT: If you have dynamic ip: There is a bug somewhere in the bitcoin network code that can cause the server to loose all connections to the network after your external ip has changed. It will still show 8 or more connections but if you look in debug.log you will no longer see new blocks or transactions. In this case you need to restart the server. The chance of this bug to happen is around 50%. So be careful, if your external ip changes and you don't check the server and the bug has happend you will produce 100% orphan blocks. Please use this thread to discuss and/or ask questions about the code. If you like my work you can donate XPM to: ATHHPkcWjhUSqXpgJhTut7jzWo3JEbNj9J Maybe i'm misunderstanding what it is you want!? said it clearly a solo ver that works with 69xx series Im still really confused are you wishing beerminer was solo even though its mads code anyhow cause mad has a solo version you know that right? Both open source so that means optimization on one will be pulled and used on another being that they both use the same fermat, sieve

@eXtremal:
Tyvm good sir, again!
Finally I had time and was able to produce full, remote pools with databases, webstats and workers able to get for XPM & DTC. Workers even found some blocks lol.

This post is from the guy who made the optimizations to madmax's code so go through his posts to find the ones that work for you we are up to v3 but im still using that one v2 HINT: use the 10ch

I have posted in this thread before on how to compile your own OpenCL bin, which is quite simple: You just need to put v3 or v4's .cl files in gpu dir and run the miner program.

Hello,
Anyone tested on old GPU like HD-5970?
try it out works on 6970/50 While it may work, pre GCN cards are bad at primecoin mining, there's no way around it. R7 240 is just as quick as a HD5870/6970. VLIW isn't optimize to do primecoin mining. Well, I have 3 of those and an r9 290...might as well try.

I didn't say it was optimized, I said "isn't optimize"...
