Can someone give me tips where to invest and whats not trustworthy?

Take a look at the Securities section of this forum and read up on the asset announcements. Look at some of the credentials/references of the issuers and decide for yourself if you think the asset and the issuer are worth investing in. Remember that every investment carries a risk, even if it's only a small one, and determine what your risk-tolerance is. Regarding verification, you'll have to trust that Nefario performs due diligence in making a reasonable assessment of their authenticity.

Ultimately it's up to you to decide what to invest in, and I would advise that you thoroughly research before you do so.

Thanks for the security-forum-tip. Its a good idea to get a feeling about the issuer there.

Regarding the security on the website... i only meant that every security there offered can be faked easily. So i think even when all 6 securities are green they could all mean nothing. So i wouldnt trust too much in this section.

Thanks!
Sebastian

Such is a charm of the bitcoin economy. It does not apply only to GLBSE - some people can screw your over, some did and some will...
But there is also a truth, as old as the world itself, which says: no risk - no gain Smiley

I now started to check the offers in the forum and the first asset i found interesting is MOM.GLBSE.COMPOSITE. But i found that it is discontinued since july 27 and that it isnt deleted from the list even though this was requested. Plus, the owner of the asset says that he paid out the shareholders but still there are 30 shares offered.
I think it would be a better user experience when discontinued projects are deleted so users dont buy dead shares. At the end it would help the marketplace i think.

Can someone give me tips where to invest and whats not trustworthy? I think i wont invest where no dividend were paid till now or where dividends were paid in the past but not in the last time. Regarding verification... i think everything there can be faked, plus everyone from india can open an asset so thats not worth much when it comes to scam.

So what would be your tips?

Thanks!
Sebastian

It is hard to find a Safe place to put Money on the internet that is not controlled by the a Gov. If you want someone to confirm the identity the best thing I have seen is to hold a newspaper up, then a ID card. Then go online look up the newspaper and see if the articles match. When I first announced my Security I got all sorts of scammer alerts just cause I had been creeping and never registered. Then I did all sorts of nonsense to prove my identity. Just go with your gut for the most part thats the best I can offer good luck!

This was a case of me not being informed of the death of an asset. I don't have the ability to keep track of everything.

Ok, didnt know that. I only searched the asset here in the forum and the assetowner there claimed that he informed you and nothing happened. Spamfilter maybe?

Any critics about this portfolio?

this thread is about the glbse as a market trading platform, and this thread is appropriately in the project development category.

you've already been pointed to the securities forum by winterfrost.  that is the right forum for your inquiry.

I would like to see confirmations added to the buy and sell buttons. A popup saying at least "you are buying/selling N shares @ XBTC for a total of YBTC. Confirm the order? YES NO". It is too easy to make mistakes when buying and selling.

The site is running slowly for me these past few days, has it been like this for a while?

Yes. The most painful part is when your 2-factor token expires before the site handles your withdrawal request (expiration time is 30 seconds). Unlike Google, GLBSE doesn't use a grace period, during which expired credentials (I think Google uses 30 more seconds) can be accepted.

I noticed that too. Is it under attack? I dont have involved much money but i would prefer when someone from Chaos Computer Club or similar would take a look at the site to find out vulnerabilities that should be closed. I heard some persons have much invested, so that they wouldnt need to work anymore. Which means the platform could get interesting for cracker at some time.

Can someone tell me what the "recall security" function in GLBSE specifically does?

I'm asking, it it just an "inverse" of the "issue more security" function, i.e. the unsold assets will just be reduced by x numbers?

Why would you even do that?

There is an instant account to account BTC transfer thats free.

It should be there anyway.

CloudFlare "Website currently unavailable" page on both the EU and US servers. Any information, Nefario?

Edit: Fixed, thanks for the quick response.

Anyone else not having deposits show up? 11 confirmations, but no change on GLBSE, even after clicking "Check for deposits".
