This coin and community and quite epic Fully agree with both statements. We will soon see the rise in price to better reflect the value of KTK.

I've downloaded the new wallet, downloading the blocks manually but it seems to be stuck at 5000, been hanging there for about half an hour now, anything I can do? How come it won't download blocks?
EDIT: Rebooted the wallet it grabs 500 more then stops again... I think maybe this is to do with the limit of the nodes, have you added seed nodes?
EDIT: Another reboot another 500 blocks
Might it help if people put daemon=1 in their .conf?

I had the same problem, but if you are patient it will sync. At least it worked for me. However, I also restarted the wallet multiple times.

I am one of the original share holders and just want to say that I have not sold a single coin! I am a strong believer and think that this coin can be something very special!

I had the same problem with a different coin. It did this all the way until it synced then had an issue and had to delete and run it again. but then it worked perfectly. Firecoin gets stuck also so I think there is some kind of bug we have all incorporated into our wallets.

Yeah I really think it is something simple like seed nodes, I am not 100% about it, but I have heard they limit you to 500 blocks when it is busy, and so seems strange that it is going in 500 block increments.
I also think the daemon=1 tag in the .conf could help... Though again not 100% about it.
EDIT: It is moving slowly, 500 blocks at a time... So it'll get there

Marketplace Update Very sorry for the delays everyone on the marketplace (MP) video, run into a problem with the payment and activating the product download (hosted at Amazon S3). It's still not fixed, so for now it' just a short preview. Once I've fixed the bug, I'll redo the video and complete a live sale. Since the original screenshot post it's slightly changed, it no longer has a dedicated checkout page. Payment is now done directly on the product page, when the KTK api is ready and it's added as a payment option, either the buy button or the popup modal will give the buyer various options to select the currency to buy with. For this current preview it only has the 1 option (btc) as that code has been completed, even though it's not fully working right now! I don't have a solid date to complete the final KTK api code yet, but if it's ready the time I fix the bug and redo the video I'll complete a payment in KTK as it's quicker for confirmations. The KTK api code is also the last big part that needs integrating into the MP, and shortly after that we can go live with both the MP and online wallet! Video preview... if it's slightly blurry please select 720pThe MP name has purposely been left out. You'll notice it's using the same KTK logo, this could change if the community want to. The domain does start with K but more generic than KryptKoin so it's more brandable, all will be revealed when we go live! http://youtu.be/Sj3f7ucJBIo The site looks very promising, and has a lot of useful features. By the way, It would be nice if you put a link to this post on the Marketplace section of the OP.

Hmmm guys... Little concerned here... I have 54k blocks to go... And seems most my coins have gone poof... EDIT: Phew... False alarm peoples, tis all good, I'm just surprised because I am an original holder, and so figured those would come in first, but they didn't, weird... Anyway, just wanted you to know they have come in, still got some blocks to go till in sync but looking good.

I am not sure how daemon=1 could help, as that allows it to take and send rpc calls remotely and run in the background. I'm not an expert in the code, but to my knowledge that function is unrelated to syncing. I've had the problem with a few coins, and usually you just deal with restarting it several times. Once it's fully synced, as long as you don't let it get way behind, it seems to be a non issue. Though some coins have specific points they stick at, while other's it's the number of blocks like this example.

Oh okay, I thought running it as a daemon specifies it as a node, as you run all coind wallets with -daemon but you're probably right. In this case I didn't let it get way behind, re-downloading the blocks was a requirement. We had the same thing with Netcoin recently when moving to POS. And sure it could be something as simple as that, the only reason I thought of seed nodes was because in this case the number of blocks is 500... Again could mean nothing. Merely making a suggestion that might help.

Yes, that is no good. Why the drop? I guess people really are idiots as they just keep getting burned by P&D shitcoins and don't know a good coin when they see it.
