It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

blame bittrex. those fucking trigger happy fucks want to list every new coin right away.

What's your problem? Every coin needs at least one or more good exchanges.  We are lucky to have Bittrex taking the risk on listing new coins and all the work that involves.  Don't hate them just because they are first.  If Mintpal listed Sync first, everyone would be going, "To The Moon".

agree, the sooner on exchange, the less you lost.

Can you guys imagine... since I posted this with text praising bittrex I went to withdraw my minings for the day, I generated a new SYN address on Bittrex & sent it ! Turns out not only do SYN & SYNC look alike, but they both allow addresses that start with S. So my SYNC was sent to a non existant address. Im usually quite cautious... it was a tiny amount anyways but what are the odds.... lol

Don't feel that bad, a while ago I did that on a small laptop screen trading AC for BTC, but I was really trading AC for BC, and instead of making a lot of bitcoin, I ended up with 2 black coins.

This is something you should take up with the coin developers, they should modify the address generation and validation code to only accept addresses for their coin.   Sadly too many are just cloning one of the established branches without doing this extra bit of work, thus opening up the scenario that bit you.  This *is* recoverable assuming you have the private key for the SYN address you accidentally sent your coins to.  Simple export that key from the SYN wallet, and import it into your SYNC wallet.

what the hell the price is stupidly low, u sell here u will be sorry!

This is the first coin I ever decided to mine!  Although looking at the prices now it would have been cheaper to just buy at this rate rather then Renting the hash power.  We will see though hopefully after the 5 days it will at least even out!

It generally is better to buy from the market then rent hash power.

Ya, Didn't realize Bittrex was going to add it so fast.  There was talk of it not being added till it was out of POW so I didn't want to miss out!

no. 0.5% is tiny and will be useful to get this coin on a decent exchange eventually.

Haha agree, I rented 11 rigs to mine with... so far my cost is 0.749 btc and I only received 0.273 Sync so far.  I still have a a bit of time to get some more Sync but right now thats almost a price of 2.9btc= 1 sync to mine.  Cry  (although I did get 1100 WEST while I waited for sync to launch)

Should have just bought!

best thing to do now is to buy new coin as early as possible when they hit an exchange, and sell them for x5 profit
