confirmed (and to potentially fuel the ponzi speculation that is rampant around the BTC money business, on-call deposit availability is now less than 500)

As advance notification, the deposit rate will be reset at the end of June to 1%/week.
I am signalling this in advance, and I expect the economy to be a little different in seven weeks time. It also reflects some lower margin lending I am doing to make some equipment purchases more more affordable for borrowers.

Sent a deposit of 70 BTC.
Thank you.
Received - thanks. I've had a couple of small deposits and a larger one come in recently, so the simple level I had imposed some months ago has been reached. That means my appetite for large deposits under the current simple, on-call, guaranteed, non-pirate invested coins is lower (and to reiterate, deposits are not placed with BS&T). For existing customers below the nominal 500 coin max, additional deposits are still ok. For new customers - up to 100 coins should still be ok, but pm first. For additional large deposits, there will need to be a minimum time like 30 days as I do not plan on holding a lot of coins idle.

I would like to apply for a loan of 15 BTC while I wait for my first withdrawal at Entropia Universe to clear. According to the site, it should take about 40 days for them to send it (it's done manually) and 5 days for me to receive it. This is the max amount of time I would require. I can send a screenshot of the pending transaction if required. One PED is worth about 10 cents, so my withdrawal totals to a little less than 100 USD. The reason I am in need of the money now rather than next month is because I need to pay for transportation for the next two weeks. I take the bus, but I'm still low on funds.
If accepted, my address for the loan will be removed by poster . I will pay back 18 BTC within two months.
EDIT: Found out my semester ends today. Have everything I need. Cancel my application. I don't need the loan.

I have just requested a 52.838BTC loan from Starfish BCB. The details of which were sent in private to Patrick directly just moments ago.
cheers

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system. - GA
It is being worked on by smart people. -DamienBlack

Re: Cobra loan
I spent quite a while discussing and arranging a loan with Cobra yesterday and we reached agreement to do a three month, 200 coin loan. We discussed quite a few things and on reflection (along with some recent bitcoin developments) Cobra decided not to take up the loan, and returned the test deposit we had exchanged. Cobra is not a long-time or senior member, so is still building credibility on the forum, but on the basis of my dealing with him, will probably do some business when the time is right.
Thank you Patrick for the kind words. I look forward to building credibility in the forum and maybe taking a loan in the future. I certainly understand why any lender is skeptical to loan a large sum of coins to a new member with limited posts, it almost instantly gets a scammer comment from someone. Many new members that have burned a lender unfortunately ruin it for other new members. I thank Patrick for not stereotyping me right away and just tossing me in the high risk category without any further thought. I was able to prove credit worthiness and verify identity to put his mind at ease. I was going to buy 6 BFL's and finance 2 of them but started to think of all the negatives revolving that. The wait will probably be well over 6 weeks. Hopefully you could sell them here but the market is limited unlike a video card. With all the other people buying these and the increased hashing power on the network combined with increasing difficulty, I am going to wait things out a bit. As an update, Cobra did take out a 200BTC loan, and recently we agreed an accelerated payment schedule and it is now fully paid off. Excellent person to deal with.

For 1% on a small amount of BTC, you should just head over to GLBSE.com and buy some BDK.BND or Tygrr-Bond-B

In any event, I offered a second option with higher interest and it's sitting and compounding currently.
