Can someone create a better looking website? The current one is an eyesore. Also, the dev team should open up to all interested individuals looking to help this project along. This is an impossible project for a single person to undertake without lots of problems.

I am all up for people contributing to the development of Slimcoin. I am open to any volunteers who want to work on the code. Remember that you can make changes and send a pull request on Github, that is the easiest way to contribute to its development.

do i need an internet conn to mine this coin?

Offline POS or POB would be fucking awesome.  Cold interest!  Wouldn't do much for the network, but would be secure as fuck.

The miners are basically graphics card miners。There are a large number of miners in the coin to rise

I fail to see how a GPU miner saves this coin, it being CPU-only is an equalizer for most people, I imagine Primer is using either a botnet, or an expensive, hired set of machines, hinted earlier by how expensive it was, which I suppose was a clever tactic while the price was high.

This coin needs marketing, it easily has the capacity to be 0.001BTC/coin with the combination of innovation in fairly equal mining between all parties.

Primer is no longer actively mining to my knowledge, judging by posts, he's moving to a Cryptonight coin, likely Monero, and has several dual slot 8, and 12 core Xeon rigs. It is up to us to market the coin.

Also consider, that anything can mine a CPU algo, it could be compiled for your smartphone or tablet, Raspberry Pi, or other ARM board with some effort.

I'd say we need to be on at least another commonly used exchange, Poloniex, Bittrex or Mintpal, but please not Cryptsy, that's where coins go to die.

What are some ways of gaining popularity and have more people know of this coin that have worked. I would love to make this a community effort to make this coin gain speed.

ByronP from Atomic Trade said he can add Slimcoin if it has BlockNotify. I haven't researched what is that, but it couldn't hurt to be there.

Use my shamelessly plugged link to go there: Atomic-Trade

i think we should let more exchange to accept the coin.such as bittrex poloniex mintpal, then people will know this coin.
and this coin should have a plan for the furture.
coins was not just created for us to mine and exchange,it should made people to use it.
but how to ? dve should consider this.

No, thats the beauty of it. It makes p2p connections over UV waves, just like the sun.

so funny :v

i ask again: do i need a full time conn to mine this coin?

How else would it work you idiot ?

i'll report you Smiley

I doubt that's the most effective thing you can say to primer...

i see a trust -6 at primer now... ohoh

Dev, if you could update the compiled wallets to the newest version, that would be amazing, my only issue with the coin currentlyare:
1: The CPU usage while it's open.
2: It takes a while to open, while others open nearly instantly.

Otherwise, great coin!

Hi,
I like Slimcoin and the fact that the developer use Linux as main OS.

About your question:
1) Make easier Slimcoin access by keeping in mind that most of the users have not developer' skills:
1.1) Provide full static version of wallet and miner, both Windows and Linux (VirtualBox is your friend). I have updated current git wallet to QT5: 0001-Add-compatibility-with-QT5.patch, it compile fine on Arch Linux.
1.2) Provide FAQ/Monkey-proof guide for explain why and how (timing, rates, ...) the "I burned X SLC" -> "I gained X+Y SLC" step is done. This allow to users to find out their personal max profit burned_coin/time rate.

2) Add SlimCoin on specialized sites (e.g. http://cpucoinlist.com/)

3) Bcz CoOL is b377er:
3.1) Improve site by more specific sections (e.g. Home, Info, Documentation, Downloads, Pools, Exchanges)
3.2) Adjust wallet layout to fit in 1366x768 screens: 0002-Adjust-layout-to-fin-in-1366x768-screens.patch
