Just a small update from the team -- we have been in discussion with multiple individuals, groups, and companies that are interested in acquiring the CoinRecycler codebase and taking over responsibility for leading future development of MastCoin. Chris at Coin Proz is one of the interested parties, and we can confirm the legitimacy of the posts he's made here.

Hi.
Have you come to a deal with anyone regarding the future of MASTCoin?
Things look pretty bad now...

I finally had time to test the CoinRecycler and I can confirm what was said in some past posts: it does NOT work in the web NOR in the wallet... so maybe it is why nobody is buying the code...

It's a pity, the coin works very fine, it's fast and stakes well... maybe could be a good idea to release the portion of code you wrote and make it opensource for everyone to fix it and make it work properly.

For sure you have a lot of MAST in your wallet so if the coin start being what it was supposed to be, you'll have a big gain.
Think about it.

We have not reached a deal with anyone yet. Unfortunately, the interested groups have all basically just wanted to hire us as a development team to work for them, which isn't what we're looking for at all.

Send us a message on bitcointalk if you're interested in actively developing MastCoin, having the community take over, or anything related.

The CoinRecycler service has been offline for a while, for the same reason that development on the coin has stalled - the development team simply does not have time to maintain it. The CoinRecycler code works well, but does need occasional maintenance, as it interacts with each supported coin's wallet locally and exchange APIs remotely.

All the code for the coin, including its interaction with the CoinRecycler service is open source and on Github. However, CoinRecycler itself is proprietary as we've spent a lot of time developing it. We're willing to discuss selling it or releasing it to an interested party that would take over continued MastCoin development, but are not currently planning to freely open source it.

As cryptomass mentioned, one good piece of news is that the coin itself continues to work perfectly and there are no issues with the blockchain, wallets, transactions, exchanges, etc.

There are no issues, no. The block explorer is functional and available at https://explorer.mastcoin.org - you can search for or view any block or transaction there. Here's a link for the transaction id you asked about: http://explorer.mastcoin.org/tx/e95f26829f56fdc9a2dde2ece31fe75531a60daed2b1860cdc3f20f05402d174

Hi.
Thank you for your reply.
I understand you don't want to undersell your work so let's hope someone with good intentions will make an offer that suited your requirements.
Meanwhile maybe you should update the OP and state clearly for everyone that the code is for sale or ready to be passed on to a proper group.
Also if you don't mind, please change that link at mastcoin.co, it's just so bad to land on that page with "MastCoin is a scam" isn't it?
Could use mastcoin.org and make a simple page with the logo and the announce about the code is for sale. You could state clearly what your requirements are.
If you want to sell your car you tidy it up a bit don't you?

Just out of curiosity, can you tell me how Mast coin recycler differs from the Saffron one?

Last thing:
I noticed that foxkyu's transaction started on the 17th but appeared on the blockchain on the 19th. Why?

Thank you.

Coin is dead

I would say it's on comatose state but not dead yet.
Hopefully someone with the right skills will take over so we can build a new community around it and add new ideas!

It has always been my opinion that this could go far if one person didn't hoard them. Whoever it is needs people to buy and a steady sell. Not because they always lose their ass from trading it or have to wait a month to make one trade. I could setup a tipbot on the IRC channel if it had interest.

Tipbot could be an option if/when this project is resumed.
Also there is still a giveaway wallet with funds in it...

If this coin is to live past tomorrow, it's pretty much unavoidable to pump to 200

It is super old and super cheap from the highs we once had. Its a good price point to enter in if you were going to take a risk.

I don't know but if it doesn't get .5 ~ more of volume it doesn't look good.
