The Mac wallet has been updated with the MastCoin branding and is now available for download at https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/mastcoin/mastcoin-mac.zip

We'll have a Mac wallet built with CoinRecycler Phase 1 integration soon.

I just tested the last windows wallet with different commands like "getdepositaddress DOGE ..." it's working perfectly !

Windows wallet with CoinRecycler Phase 1 integration and Mac wallet links updated here : http://mastcoin.co/get-started

Only a few people know about MastCoin and this awesome new feature ! This is why the price is still stuck

So you know what to do : retweet, talk on every IRC, trollbox, reddits, forums...

Wondering maybe someone could send me for a test few coins? 1-5? And where can I buy it? On poloniex is it available already? My wallet address: DBwKoDmbpMxpt8EEqxg5dwueBDM5PLNYxU If you want then I will send you back soon when I will get coins.

Can someone please explain how the coin recycler actually works?  Basically are the devs making their own market?  How competitive are the exchange rates offered?

No - AFAIK they are using existing exchanges to sell 'other' coins to BTC/LTC then purchasing MAST on the open market as well... All in all rather clever way of driving demand of MAST up - which is what we all want.

Haven't seen any indications of volumes (which would be rather interesting) but if we start producing large volumes (buy/sell side) then we could probably ask exchanges for some sort of discount (transactional would be difficult I assume - given percentage basis for most conversions) - as we are in essence becoming a coin aggregator. Assuming people don't mind being pooled together into larger tranches which would impact turn around time (effectively a coinjoin) anyway whatever approach being used we would be driving ever larger revenue into whichever exchange we currently use...... this is something exchanges could bid on - we just need to make it widely known as a way to convert coins (quickly + effectively)

Spread the word!

sent you some.

Can someone please explain how the coin recycler actually works?  Basically are the devs making their own market?  How competitive are the exchange rates offered?

I will try to explain with simple words:

- Right now when you want to sell a coin to buy another coin;
- First you need an account in an exchange (this means personal information like email address, phone number...)
- Then make a deposit for the coin you want to sell
- Then you need to sell the coin for BTC and if you are lucky the other coin you want to buy is on the same exchange and you can buy it.
- And finally you need to withdraw the coin you bought to his wallet.

With the CoinRecycler you will be able to sell your coin at the current market price by generating a deposit address, it will tell you how many MAST you will receive by calculating from the orderbook and after that it's a fully automatic and anonymous process and you will get your MAST in minutes !

What are the advantages of using the CoinRecycler ?

- You will be able to sell or buy from your wallet !
- No need of accounts on exchanges
- A lot more secure than exchanges
- A lot more anonymous
- Easy to use, the human nature is lazy so the more simple it is, the more it's appreciated
- Can easily bring mass adoption, because it's a kind of all in one and easy to understand

- And of course a constant buy support

To attract people i plan to do some kind of "use the CoinRecycler and get 5% more MAST" for the first 2 weeks (but this is still a project).
example : if you recycle some coins worth of 1000 MAST you will receive 1050 MAST.

vir6's explanation was great. The most simple answer is that CoinRecycler operates via exchanges at the moment, so the rates are what you would get there - without the hassle of trading to BTC then buying MAST. As we continue development on it, more exchanges will be added and eventually we will be making our own markets, as volume grows.

so it will be a market evolved around a coin? or is that over simplifying what it would eventually be? it sounds sweet to organically grow an exchange like that.

Once there's enough volume we'll be able to do the exchanging inside of CoinRecycler instead of farming it out onto an exchange immediately, so transactions will be able to be lightning fast since MAST transactions are fully confirmed in less than 5 minutes.

seems ambitious, i would be legit impressed if you managed to pull that off.  Shocked

How do you verify Mintpal votes (other than paid votes, which could be verified on the blockchain)?

Seems cool. I'll donate mast if we get a vote thread going. It looks like people are just posting as soon as they cast the vote. Not foolproof but still helpful with votes

Good idea, I think we will make a post for Mintpal and Bter votes it could really help, now we have to think how many MAST we can give per votes.

edit: after some calcul it seems it would be too expensive and not so good for the coin reputation to pay people to vote like that...

I have voted ,To be honest I think the recycler will give us more publicity if new coins are added regularly .I know the devs are busy, But at the moment this is the main difference between Mast and other coins .It has been saying 'NEXT VOTE SOON' on the website for a week now .Think we should start the votes on adding new coins soon ,This is our main talking point and our best chance for publicity.
