How can we prevent future forks, dev?  What is the progress on V2 supersend?

Side note: supercoindev, you're seriously the fucking terminator  Cool .  When many devs would have cut and run, you're here in the trenches working things through.  Kudos to you.  Grin

the fuck are you talking about. this coin is one of the most living altcoins around. never before a problem like this occured for Supercoin and look how great the devs dealt with this 'first-time experience'. every day they show us and remind us of how good and efficient the team is yet they take no credit for this, at all. how could you even think we're dead ?

if all you can do is post like a 10 year old, do us all a favor and dump your Supercoins asap.

Standard fare for coin problems.  Dev has shown they understand trustless mixing, AND shown the dedication to correcting problems.  Like I said before, get the cheap coins while you can.

sending coins while there's fork is not too smart  Grin

1. Wallet has been fixed when I sent my coins
2. I'm on the correct chain

More likely Bittrex still on the wrong chain, so they stopped market again.
You can check from block explorer if you are on correct block chain.
http://cryptotrends.info/SUPERCOIN

Help ! I appear to have lost all my coins !

I downloaded the blockchain from the beginning (http://www.super-coin.net/Supercoin21.zip)... Also used the longer list of addnodes in .config

I put my .dat in and it shows NIL balance. (listaddressgroupings command shows nothing in brackets, blank, , but the 'receive' address is correct, as before)

The total number of blocks is shown as 130183.

Worse, my address is not appearing on http://cryptotrends.info/SUPERCOIN  !

What is my next move ?

http://cryptotrends.info/SUPERCOIN

I have a note of my private key also : When I use command importprivkey  (something I have done many many times on other coins) it returns the command

Error adding key to wallet (code -4)

Is it possible to earn more than the standard POS interest if a lot of coins are on exchanges and not staking?

E.g. if half coins are not staking do the other half earn twice as much stake?

Addresses are recorded on the blockchain arent they? You need a transaction on the original chain.

If you sent coins from an exchange onto an address which you generated on the newest blocks of the forked chain..you might be screwed. If you can send the coins back to the exchange it would be fine as their addresses exist on both forks. But they disabled deposits too  Cheesy

edit: If your address does not exist on the original chain by someone else then just upgrade wallet to the original chain and make a NEW transaction on the network and you will show up. If your address doesnt exist then you are fine, you can make it exist with a transaction.

I think blockchain doesnt record addresses by themselves, just transactions. Then your wallet `counts` how much coins you earned or lost on the blockchain to your addresses which shows your balance  Smiley

I had a balance of 148k in the original .dat

The new synched wallet shows my correct pub and priv keys, but with a NIL balance.

So, are you saying I should resync the chain using an old version of the wallet, and make some (any) transaction, or resend all my coins somewhere ? ..otherwise how could I upgrade to the original chain ?

Do your 148k coins exist on the forked chain BEFORE 128k? I think this is the key. If not, If you want your coins back you need to send them back to the exchange by contacting them and explaining the problem. Coins need to be on an address which is logged before the split, in order to get coins BACK.

edit: Actually if the address you created only exists on the fork you are probably already screwed.
