Yes. I have discussed this aspect of PoS many times in other threads over the past 3 months. I personally believe that high PoS rates attract investors, and do not impact on inflationary expectations if the rate is tapered properly over the first couple of years. Supercoin gets this right, and with the other aspects, it makes a very good prospect.


The message re wallets and fork on Mintpal and Bittrex should panic a few weak hands (who don't bother to read the thread properly), and I am expecting to buy some nice cheap Supercoin in the next day or two. Forks are either a selling or buying signal dependent on the reasons : Guess which this one is !

I'm definitely no expert but from what I can tell, a certain amount of coins need to be brought onto the market so that people can trade. Coins that pay too little POS seem to die through lack of activity. Also I don't have that much faith in multipools stabilising the price or adding buy pressure. They don't seem very profitable for miners. Coins at this stage need volatility so there is interest in trading until there is an outlet for purchasing goods and services or until there is so much interest that it hits that magical point and becomes another bitcoin. I'm open to opinion on that though.

not everyone is satoshi you know. who cares who helps, super coin did phase 1 so far, mamm was put on project to speed things up maybe, but as long tech works would it matter. atleast our devs are not selfish like others. the more people involved the better the product.

People can trade fine, that has nothing to do with pos reward. Lack of activity is mostly because people give up on the coin (no inovation, no devs nothing) and let it die.
Multipools are a very good idea, but currently the execution sucks, not just because multipools that payout in coins aren't as profitable as other multipools, but because the purchasing power that's supposed to make buy pressure on the markets is trivial. Multipool as a buying support would only work on a coin with a very small amount of coins or a very large hashpower pool.

The new wallet is working great, not a lot of people staking, so I hope I get the superblocks hehe

That's a good point about multipools.  I see Supersend as a similar idea applied to Anon sending. Supercoin is first-mover here: Whilst that does not confer advantage forever in the Cryptoworld, it does give a chance for recognition and faster growth at the critical early stage.

It depends, if your tx is in the forked chain, then the main chain will not have it. Otherwise it should be fine.

Use the new wallet (2.1.2 or 1.4.2), sync, then type repairwallet in console, you will see all.
