This will usually list the kennitala (public tax number of the company) as well as the legal and mailing address. For instance you can try searching for my company here in Iceland (Icetor ehf.) or the datacenter project manager of Moria Datacenter (Datacell ehf.).

   Additionally some of you may remember Datacell a few years back, as the company who sued and won against a Visa payment processor who started refusing Wikileaks donations.

   There are only two large datacenters in keflavik here in Iceland. Advania and Verne Global, so intil Moria DC is built your miners are ending up in one of those two locations. I'll be happy to answer any other questions about hosting here in Iceland, but remember Caveat Emptor!

Does DataCell / Moria Datacenter allow Bitcoin payments for their hosting plans?

I know that Advania is atleast considering it for the future...


If you want to host bitcoin miners, you should really be accepting Bitcoin (possibly through bitpay etc.) as payment.

Not currentyly though it is something we'll be considering for the future. The bitcoin situation is legally murky right now. The literal interpretation of the law in Iceland seems to imply bitcoin are illegal to transact in. Mining however is not something addressed by current law.
    Adding in the currency controls that Iceland has had in place since 2008 makes this more of an issue too. One of my other projects was a political party here in Iceland (the Pirate Party of Iceland) and I'm aware they're at least discussing crypto currencies in committee there, but none of that would get resolved until after summer is over.
    While I'm not a big fan of Auroracoin, the airdrop here at least forced the issue and introduced most of the population to the idea of bitcoin and crypto currencies.

I've ended my hosting with Bobsag3 from MinerSource.net. They did a fantastic job with receiving and sending out my SP10. Easy and very efficient service, but unfortunately some router issues meant  I had limited access to remote control and linguaefelis went on a 30hr road trip to Sidehack.

Bitpay offers you direct $ payments so you won't have to deal directly with bitcoins. Isn't that helping?

Michigan Colocation 's temp.s have been stable for me but after you mentioned about their temps, I looked back at my stats and it seems their ambient temps have slowly risen.

My SP10 is currently:

Yes, we are aware of the higher temps and are currently in plans to improve conditions with an added A/C unit in the data center.
