For those who are not from Iceland all company information can be found at https://www.rsk.is/ under fyrirtaekjaskra (namf is search by name)

This will usually list the kennitala (public tax number of the company) as well as the legal and mailing address. For instance you can try searching for my company here in Iceland (Icetor ehf.) or the datacenter project manager of Moria Datacenter (Datacell ehf.).

Additionally some of you may remember Datacell a few years back, as the company who sued and won against a Visa payment processor who started refusing Wikileaks donations.

There are only two large datacenters in keflavik here in Iceland. Advania and Verne Global, so intil Moria DC is built your miners are ending up in one of those two locations. I'll be happy to answer any other questions about hosting here in Iceland, but remember Caveat Emptor!

bitsmelter.io is a wholesale customer of Verne Global, just like CloudHashing and others.  Our corporate entity is headquartered within Australia.

Does DataCell / Moria Datacenter allow Bitcoin payments for their hosting plans?

I know that Advania is atleast considering it for the future...

If you want to host bitcoin miners, you should really be accepting Bitcoin (possibly through bitpay etc.) as payment.

Not currentyly though it is something we'll be considering for the future. The bitcoin situation is legally murky right now. The literal interpretation of the law in Iceland seems to imply bitcoin are illegal to transact in. Mining however is not something addressed by current law.
Adding in the currency controls that Iceland has had in place since 2008 makes this more of an issue too. One of my other projects was a political party here in Iceland (the Pirate Party of Iceland) and I'm aware they're at least discussing crypto currencies in committee there, but none of that would get resolved until after summer is over.
While I'm not a big fan of Auroracoin, the airdrop here at least forced the issue and introduced most of the population to the idea of bitcoin and crypto currencies.

princeps; is a SP10 hosted at gekkoscience.com Thanks sidehack for getting it up and hashing with remote access on a Saturday, only an hour after receiving it.
gaederopus; is a SP10 hosted at michigan-colocation.com Top notch service!!
linguaefelis; is a SP10 hosted at minersource.net but Bobsag3 has yet to reply to me with remote access to my h/w. 11 days since last update.

Total hash rate at Ozcoin:
Code:
[17:17:39] <+QG> .e
[17:17:40] <@ozbot> At 5825 GH/s, you should earn 0.24917809 BTC/day ($137.95) on average (0.01038242 BTC/hr)

That was 2 weeks ago. This is now...

I've OCed my SP10 s to get every last hash out. here's how they are performing at the various hosting providers.

Hosted with Mich-Colo
gaederopus (pre-May) hashing at 1.47Ths

Hosted with Sidehack from gekkoscience.com
princeps (slow May batch) hashing at 1.43Ths
linguaefelis (slow May batch) hashing at 1.44Ths

I've ended my hosting with Bobsag3 from MinerSource.net. They did a fantastic job with receiving and sending out my SP10. Easy and very efficient service, but unfortunately some router issues meant  I had limited access to remote control and linguaefelis went on a 30hr road trip to Sidehack.

Bitpay offers you direct $ payments so you won't have to deal directly with bitcoins. Isn't that helping?

Have you checked BIPS.me in addition of bitpay?

Hi folks, I'd like to introduce myself, I work with Aegir at Advania and can help with any queries you have on hosting your mining equipment in our Thor Data Centre facility.

You can contact me directly on brian.rae@thordc.com or through PM on this site (or Brian_R at WHT). I'm online most of the time day and evening, so should be able to help pretty quickly in most cases.

Glad to see Advania active here.

How is the bitcoin payment integration going? I am sure that you know that payments are non-reversible and that you pay 0 fees for any payments that you receive and you also don't need to deal directly with bitcoins since you are receiving $ directly to your bank account. Please have a look at BitPay.com or BIPS.me.

I can recommend Brian (Brian_AdvaniaThor), just arranged to host two SP10s at Advania with him. Quick replies and great service ... hope this follows through when they reach Iceland.

I'll update when they are up and running.

Thanks for that, Roadstress, that's right. We'll be offering a VPN as an optional upgrade for Euro7/month for those who don't want their miners to be accessible through a public IP. And thanks for the kind words, we'll certainly do our best to continue to earn them.

I know, that lot of SP10 owners have their units hosted with Michigan Colocation.

I want to ask you, to post your ambient temperatures, please.

Thanks in advance.

I want to ask you, to post your ambient temperatures, please.

Thanks in advance.

Michigan Colocation 's temp.s have been stable for me but after you mentioned about their temps, I looked back at my stats and it seems their ambient temps have slowly risen.

My SP10 is currently:
Temp Front / Back T,B
    35 °C / 78,80 °C

Looking back at my stats (http://imgur.com/a/XFVOJ#daU1ZVl),
Temp Front / Back T,B
    31 °C / 74,75 °C

And further back to my first post on MichColo:
Temp Front / Back
    29 °C / 67 °C

I do hope they are monitoring this and have taken measures to combat the heat. At this point, offers from Iceland are looking more promising for my SP30.

http://bitsmelter.io/
Temp Front / Back
    17 °C / 62 °C
and http://www.advania.com
Temp Front / Back
    19 °C / 68 °C

Cheers,
QG

Yes, we are aware of the higher temps and are currently in plans to improve conditions with an added A/C unit in the data center.
