I've got one antminerU2 running on the latest build on a BTCGuild pool and it's doing fine. Having got one working I decided to add my 2nd unit. It showed up just like the first one and I went and added another pool with the same URL as my first pool and a 2nd worker user name. Despite all of this the 2nd unit isn't getting any work. CPU is only running at 13 of 2000 Mhz it is capable of. BTCGuild shows now work for my 2nd worker. Is there some way to assign a worker to a device? Does bfgminer spit out a log somewhere that details access errors and such to a device, or do you have to setup a redirect?

Nwoolls - saw on github that you were going to be receiving an R-Box soon to look at the issue with running it on Macs with 4.3.0.

Did you get it yet?

Running a VM of Windows or Ubuntu just to run the R-Boxes on a Mac is a bit of a pain. Smiley
Worst case, I guess I could break out one of the RaspPi's or BeagleBones I have, but would rather not. Both platforms are pretty finnicky.

It's due today. Hopefully I'll be able to work out the kinks for a 4.3.1 update.

Great... and good luck!

BTW - using MultiMiner for the first time in a Windows VM just to get my R-boxes going... any plans for hashrate/temp charting in MultiMiner?

If you enable MobileMiner integration and pay for the minimal subscription at http://web.mobileminerapp.com there are hashrate and temp charts both farm wide, per-rig and per-device.

I've considered putting something into MultiMiner and just never landed on an implementation I like. I'll probably do it for 4.0 though. 4.0 includes a rewrite of the UI (just the front-end) in WebKit for better cross-platform experience and would be a good place to start introducing charting I think.

Well apparently the AC adapter on my hub can handle the one amp it says it can. Plugged 2nd ant directly into the computer and it's working now.

Very cool.
MultiMiner is great for windows and Mac but this gives a Pi setup that should help lots of people.
Thanks.

GRID CONTROLA CE (Community Edition) Raspberry Pi image now available for download and testing... I hope I did this right.

https://mega.co.nz/#!5QJkwYyC!-7AJ_qTmcWBmNlS93A1ybQf-oW2CZUZlwYkIUak-yFw

4GB SD card image based on HASHRA BLADE CONTROLA 1.4.6.1 and Luke-Jr BFGMiner 4.2. I have only tested it with 10 GridSeed Minis and 1 Blade. This image has xrdp (Remote Desktop) pre-installed for your convenience so you may want to change credentials if your Raspi is exposed to the public side. HASHRA set credentials below:

Default Username: hashra
Default Password: hashra

Root access:
User: pi
Password: 3K4Hb8FMeZjQZJEX6scYzZa

Will try to create separate support thread if there is any interest (don't want to spam Luke's).

Vadim

Wow I hope they keep this supported. I don't see it on their website. Where did you find it?

Has anyone managed to get their Rockminer working with BFG? I downloaded the latest and followed a few threads on here on how to remove all the old zadig drivers. Now when I plug it in, it shows in Win7x64 in my Devices as 'CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller' but drivers are unavailable. Should I go back to using the zadig? If so, which one? Any config suggestions? You are --scan rockminer:all right?

Sounds like you are using the standard windows usb to uart bridge you need to install the SI ones. the zadig drivers will NOT work with BFGminer at all. follow the link install the SILabs drivers and they work fine.

Hey,

In v4.3.0 of BFGM, is dual mining switched-off for G-Blade, or  one has to do so by passing certain command in argument field?

Thanks

It is my understanding that G-Blades do not support dualmining at all.

Thanks for your input, Luke. Smiley However at many websites they say to turn it off while using through the miner being used, so I asked for the latest BFGM version. Grin

Thanks

I believe you are confusing this with the Gridseed Orbs which are able of mining both SHA256 and Scrypt.  As Luke notes, I don't think the Blade is capable of dual mining.

Did some testing with an R. Pi. with 3 gridseed 5 chippers... Seems to work pretty well on this too.  I've noticed though, that 2 of my miners which run at 825 and 850 on Windows (and better with CGminer at 838 and 868 on Debian Linux) with very few HW errors are now bugging out.  They run fine for a while, then hit a bunch of HW errors, then run fine again.  Not sure if I should take them apart, clean them, put new thermal goo on the chips and reattach the heat sinks or if it's something in BFGMiner.

Any thoughts on getting rid of HW errors besides lowering my clocks from 825 and 850?  I've got a powered USB hub as well (USB 2.0) and the gridseeds are powered fine.  Maybe there's something I didn't install from apt-get that would help?  I dunno...I've been doing this for a year now and still find variations in configurations to be challenging...

Thanks!

The code's pretty much done (avalon2_rig branch), but doesn't work for some currently-unknown reason.
xiangfu sent me some debug cables, but we haven't yet managed to meet up so he can tell me how I'm supposed to use them.

Riley, I read this: https://minereu.com/gridseed-blade-miner-80-chip-setup-guide/ & here: https://minereu.com/product/gridseed-blade-miner-80-chip-speical-promotion/ . Don't know, you guys are telling this and these guys tell something else!  Undecided Undecided I'm totally a newbie in dealing with ASIC devices.  Cry Cry Anyway, thanks for your answer.

Can someone tell me what the flags are in 4.3.0 for the Zeus Blizzard/GAW Fury? I can't seem to find them documented.

Specifically I want to lower the clock to reduce the percentage of HW errors. Currently at around 6%

6% sounds normal from what I've seen and read. You can try lowering the clock with:

Code:
--set zus:clock=320

The default is 328.

There's a potential issue with the new features for final failover:
Quote
  • URI parameter #getcbaddr to request coinbase address from bitcoind or compatible servers for solo mining.
  • When running on systems with a configured Bitcoin Core server, it is automatically configured as a final failover and used for local block submission (GBT pools only) to reduce the risk of a stale block.

I run my own p2pool node locally... and the Bitcoin Core client I have running is using the disablewallet=1 to reduce unneeded resource use.  I have my p2pool configuration point to specific address instead for the default payout address.

BFGMiner doesn't know this since it sees Bitcoin Core running and instead requests #getcbaddr from Bitcoin Core, which can't because the wallet is disabled.

Is there a way we can configure this or disable the "Final Failover" pool?
