For those wondering what ATCsecure is up to and haven't read the update I posted yesterday evening, here it is: We'll be unveiling XC's development timeline before long. Stay tuned.
For now, it's worth my mentioning that nothing is behind schedule, and that there are actually some new features on the roadmap. Aside from this, we're pooling our thoughts and getting creative about the website, user guides, the order in which to implement various parts of XC's technology, and of course the connections made at the conference. All is looking very, very cool right now.
Additionally there's a *possibility* (though a high one) that we'll be ready to release the latest tech update this afternoon. Await confirmation. It's novel, and pretty exciting. promises, promises..... ......you guys always deliver ! please do it again. Yes, ATCsecure is exceptionally reliable. However an announcement about a *possibility* is not a promise regarding timing. Let's not miss this fact. It's just to let you know what we've been working on, and that it's almost ready. Our releases are becoming increasingly dependent on multiple factors independent of coding software: GUI experiments, release to the press, the design team, even hardware. And this is good news - it means that XC is maturing.

They want to make changes in de blockchain itself, high risk & every small change needs a fork & update of all nodes. Imo a stupid decision because every change needs to be carfully prepaired & communicated to there community, exchanges need to have tech staff online etc. thats why there current problem (evan called this an easy fix) took a full month to plan & roll out. Than that rollout failed (evan: this time an even smaller error) Now they are going to disable the active check on forged blocks by all clients & centralize this by only reporting them. So now there community now needs to trust 'someone' will actually perform those checks & takes action. Everything i have read before in this thread shows XC is making clever use of the existing blockchain, low risk, easy to roll out & rapid development cycles.

Xnode been up nearly 36 hours now - still no transactions coming through. Seriously... is there any more support for this? Feel like I'm working blind.
Well.. we are still in early testing phase. I don't think there are a lot of anon transactions going around so I won't be surprised if you don't see any actions till we are closer to release. I see.. thanks. Will keep it running then and keep my fingers crossed.

That said, this Cache coin stuff at first blush is... not great. Anything that dilutes features, investor interest, etc. away from XC and into another coin, particularly one with essentially zero market cap prior to today (no offense to dev) is negative.
What would be fine is if XC has features that allow other coins to integrate into it, but DO NOT encourage investors to invest in those other coins.
I don't think you get what PBoC and Cache are about. He's the clarification we put out: - In distinction from PoS, which secures a blockchain, roughly speaking PoBC allows blockchains to talk to each other.
- PBoC is such new tech that (a) no-one except people at XC understand it (it's Jasinlee's invention), (b) it's not coded yet.
- PBoC is not going to be implemented in the near future because it will take an enormous amount of work and there are more immediate goals, like real staking Android wallets.
- XC and Cache will not share features
- XC and Cache will not have the same function, therefore there is no question of XC's money supply doubling. Why would any team want to do that to their coin? It's suicide. So why would it be reasonable to suppose that we'd do that?
- The team working on Cache is a completely different one to the one developing XC. There's no dilution of time or attention. Cache's development will have no effect on the pace or direction of XC or on ATCsecure's focus on it.
- Cache is not new to the XC project - it's been a facet in the project for a while - and yet you've seen the same reliability when it comes to release dates, and the same consistently rapid pace of development all along. So there's nothing that suggests a change or that anything is amiss.
- The XC devs have extensive business experience and know full well how to develop a technology. So when new technologies, partnerships, or functions are introduced into XC, it is done by capable hands. We know when a small, focussed team is best. We also know when and how to form partnerships. We're going to do both, because it'll create the brightest future for XC.
Now you can either doubt this information or run with it. I ask you to consider it in the light of XC's past developments, especially their reliability and professionalism. To my mind it's obvious: today the community became aware of an incredibly powerful facet of the XC project, and one that will be a game-changer in its mid-term future.

Short term you'd probably be crazy to sell now prior to ATC coming back with (presumably) positive news from the conference.

That is not how it would function, and all great feats take a while to accomplish. While people may not ride the train on an alt that is doing something innovative and the market cap is low, it does not make the achievements pushed out by the dev any less. I am sure no one will complain when its completed, it will solve 90% of crypto's adoption issues across businesses websites/point of sale systems. Most of the issues that people have with adopting crypto has to do with bugs in the code causing issues. Shoot, even in the new btc protocol there is a huge bug that would enable theft of an exchanges entire balance. These types of things cannot be ignored for months like is being done currently, so we are addressing the issue. This is about innovation and adoption. If you demand that there be "One coin to rule them all." Then you may as well be saying what the btc promoters are saying: "Alt coins are unnecessary, bitcoin has everything we need already."
