And what do you think is going to happen to the payment? Are the coins going to be destroyed?
What happens when I don't need the storage anymore, can it be deleted?
This is Blockchain 2.0 stuff.. you should just wait for it to be implemented.. Probably a couple of weeks before implementation the team will have a nice FAQ about this

Can the wallet run behind a firewall or nat and still be used as an anonymization node?
Anyone know? Yes, you need to forward the port for a router firewall, or create an IN rule for a software firewall...

I think in china they sell vouchers to buy ltc / btc on exchanges.. so maybe that would work.. buy the voucher with usd or cad... redeem the voucher in the exchange... buy xc This is the next best thing.. I think we (XC) need to be aiming for direct Fiat-gateway (threw the App).. This is a hard task but me thinks this team is MAYOR LEAGUE and will get this done (all in due time). VeriCoin is working on implementing an in-wallet FIAT purchasing option. I believe they are partnering with Moolah for this feature. Last I heard, they are waiting on the completion of some final steps before unveiling this feature. I plan to keep my eye on how this unfolds. If VRC can pull it off through Moolah, perhaps they can help us implement this feature for XC. EDIT: Or perhaps the XC team can pull it off without any third-party assistance. But as someone said earlier in this thread, there are a lot of legalities to consider with that process and it might be best to partner with someone who has already handled the legalities and such. Only time will tell.

I remember someone from the team saying they were in contact with Moolah as well. No other details were posted that I'm aware of.

Speaking of the Chinese market can we all email Bter and request that XC is added to the CNY market?
XC/CNY would be pretty clutch...

Anyone who uses their features puts their money in the trust of VRC's "security team," which, if I'm not mistaken, is one person. No thanks.

Really... Well we could learn a lot from that team then.. I will point OUR team towards this and tell them about this great achievement from your team! Sorry, I didn't think I was promoting another coin. I have no affiliation with that coin so I wouldn't really call them my 'team'. Is it like utter taboo to refer to other coins in this thread? I just brought up that coin because I know that they are working on the FIAT in-wallet feature mentioned in this thread and I thought I'd draw some attention towards their partner who is allowing this feature to be developed because they could probably help us develop a similar feature if so desired. Perhaps in this thread we can find a balance between what would be considered promotion of another coin and what would be considered reference of another coin for the sake of enhancing XC. And considering my holdings are about 85% XC, I plan to only try and enhance XC.

That is why I'm walking on my toes.. We should definitly learn from others if The have something better then we do.. If they do

If they do We could miss out if too touchy about references to work being done by other devs. Some of it is actually very good. I hold VRC and XC. Both are excellent in different ways. There is a need to find the most decentralised way to enable transfer of value. The bottleneck is always at the point of getting Crypto exchanged to local currency. This is usually where the sharks gather looking for fees. Millions of people working abroad want to send money home to family but get ripped by currently available services. Many families do not have access to currency exchanges and don't know anything about BTC or Crypto. They just want something that works out of the box. ATMs appear to be the cleanest centralised solution. At the end of the day there must be a range of solutions. It seems a very cool idea to have decentralised exchange FIAT to Crypto to FIAT in a privacy wallet and a facility to load the wallet direct from Credit card. That gets value into the system. Getting it out again is the problem. This whole area will explode with new ideas soon. I have not yet seen any decentralised solution to exchanging Crypto for local currency. To my mind, this is the final frontier. This is utility, mainstream. Most of these people do not live in America or Europe. Millions and millions of them.

I have 4 main cryptos, with tiny amounts in a few others just in case. XC, VRC, DRK, CLOAK. I consider these to be the main 4, and while I'm heaviest in XC at the moment, that doesn't mean I think it's the only coin that's doing interesting things. We're in a rare period of actual innovation from several teams at the moment, and the wise investor (and devs) will keep a very close eye on these 4 and a few others. Not watching them all is just foolish.

Just to organize some of the new team information for anyone who missed... XCurrency has added 4 new members to the team! Meet: Antoun and Samuel were the first to install two-way BTC ATM's in Europe & UK. They are working alongside Diamond Circle (manufacturer) to integrate XC exclusively into Cashless BTC ATM's across Europe and UK. (Cashless ATM's are faster than cash ATM's and can deal in any currency, including visa/debit cards, at a very marginal transaction fee ~.30%) As a part of the Cashless BTC ATM infrastructure, OneWallet cards will be used that can store up to 9 (fiat) currencies in addition to XC (exclusively) alongside BTC. (You will be able to cash out at any cashpoint merchant, or simply exchange between currencies that are connected to your OneWallet card. Additionally, you will be able to use VISA debit/credit cards on the ATM to buy and sell BTC & XC)OneWallet whitepaper http://swiftbitz.com/docs/OneWalletMerchantOpportunities.pdf
Christian Howe has in fact had a role in XC at its very beginning. He worked with Dan in creating Rev 1 Xnodes, the foundation of the XC protocol. He's a C++ expert and is responsible for many of the building blocks of XC's ground-breaking technology.
I think it's safe to say that Rob Kremer's background experience (which includes working for Microsoft & Adidas) speaks for itself.
