Yeah, having a team to frequent trollboxes (and anywhere else) is an awesome idea. However I'd construe the role of a trollbox team not as controlling information (since we have no monopoly on it), but as fostering community.
Our mode of interaction with others accounts for 95% of communication; the information supplied is 5%. So when we interact, we don't just give out facts, we give out a way of treating others, of being together.
This suggests that communicating and being a person effectively come down to the same thing: how we come across, that is, how we are in relation to others.
It also suggests that to be valuable to the world, XC requires its community, since we're what is presented to the world. Furthermore, the way XC appears to the world depends on the way we are to other people.
Therefore, be gracious to people (especially "enemies"). Be generous in your interpretation of their statements, especially when they're not generous to you. If we don't do this, then we just take on their mode of interacting instead of imparting our mode of interacting.
Be aware of the difference between what you perceive and what you infer from your perceptions (e.g. statements vs. the intentions suggested by statements). Be aware of the value of community and the value of how you come across, rather than defending the value of XC's tech without considering how you might devalue yourself by being aggressive/insulting/etc. Foster community. Remind people of the value of their role. Be to others what you'd have the XC community be to itself.
Basically what I'm getting to is that good tech without good ethics lacks value. If the XC team and community were a bunch of arseholes, XC would lack sufficient reason to exist.
This x 1000. Arlyn we're glad you're here, you're ability to articulate and remaim rational in all situations is commendable. Thank you Driv3n. It gets hard sometimes! But ultimately what keeps me on course is the awareness that what I'm putting across is not primarily information, but a way for us to treat each other.

Artooooo.. We shouldn't be Doing anything before at least a week prep time We should first have good discussions About ethics, then get arguments and information together. After that first observe The boxes and The people there.. Maybe then when new updates come out we can give it a first try and evaluate, learn and get maybe new people in
+1 Compleately Agree and this community is by the Way Fucking AMAZING!! Maybe a dossier or 'rules of xcurrency community'... as a foundation would be helpful. I know dogecoin could never get this together, but would have helped. Ex: 1. Be good to each other. 2. No FUD here or other forums. 3. Answer FUD with facts, not emotion. 4......

Get a 16x16 version of the logo, save it as favicon.ico and drop it into the root directory on the forums...
That will get rid of the IPB logo
Done might take a bit to update though....

Would this be activated much like the way optimus prime can call in the autobots...?? WE should deffo send the message out using multipath tech though Calling all trollbox team.. Meet @ Cryptsy in 5 minutes! Will we be able to send the same message to multiple addresses?
