Updated the OP with some critical information - I'll be uploading the passworded zip files this afternoon, around 6 hours before launch.

Thanks to everyone for their ideas and support!

Personally, I am glad we are sticking to Scrypt:-)  Have you by any chance thought of GREEN as being the shortened version of the name?  Or the identifier or whatever they call it, I think it sounds/looks much better than GRE..that is of course if has not been used already.

It would be nice, but I believe it to be the "norm" for these identifiers to be three letters, so that's what we are sticking with. Glad to see your support.

Honestly bud, that was the point I was trying to make......it would stand out more from the "norm".  It also gives more meaning to the coin itself and would grab peoples attention more I think.  Look on one of the exchanges, example HYPER on Bittrex.  None of the other coins listed around catch your attention like that one does, and it has meaning instead of just a 3 letter abbreviation.

All good though, I am by NO means an expert around these parts........just thought it would be really cool as GREEN:-)

PROTIP: OP didn't change it away from scrypt because he doesn't know how.

OP went into #litecoin-dev to try and get someone to compile the client for him.

Only an idiot would bother with this coin "made" by an idiot.

I got stuck with the windows QT wallet. My linux machine isn't strong enough for a virtual machine and I would rather ask for help than sit around.

Changing from Scrypt isn't complicated - though I appreciate the insight. I've been working harder to learn more about the code itself and appreciate your feedback. Good luck moving forward.

Coin will launch in 15 Minutes - We've moved the launch forward in order to make up for the source being released all at the same time.

Thanks!

Ninja launch in disguise??
I'm used to see delayed launch but it's the first time I see a coin launched 1 day too early...

It look like you didn't bother to inform the only listed pool about your early launch.

You many coins are you insta-mining right now?

The post title is supposed to say 11:45 PM not AM. It was only moved up 15 minutes for a technical reason and it didn't change anyone mining it (and we are not mining it). ncsupanda went to bed but he said it should the coin should be going. The pool operator is in IRC #greencoin working on the pool now.

Got a few blocks, but it looks like the pool isn't getting any blocks even though they have more hashrate than me.

I think you started before the pool and didn't have a node, so the coin may be forked or unless someone connects to your node, they will not get any blocks
