Sorry if this was already mentioned, but have you guys considered the legal implications of a decentralized market? Such as, when people list illegal items? It's not truly decentralized if someone would have the power to remove such items, so how would it be managed?

market would by managed by people... for example: if product reach 100 bad points from certified address (people), will be automatically removed...

but i think central authority is necessary, but must be working for market good name (concurent fight), because i am sure in the future here will be more markets...

Central authority is overrated   Tongue

I'm curious as to how many CLOAKers would consider Silk Roadish listings to be objectionable.  Hypothetically speaking.

SWIM wouldn't be opposed to anything that doesn't harm another person other than the buyer. However, if SWIM saw a listing for a person for sale then I think SWIM would have to draw the line.  Wink

Who cares, sell whatever they want isn't that the purpose of a decentralized anonymous market?

Whats the purpose of it if your going to just sell merchandise? You can do that at ebay.

If onemarket becomces the next silk road, who cares if your not doing anything wrong then you have nothing to worry about and besides if it does become silk road we're all going to be rich. (remember bitcoin/silkroad...)

what is illegal in one place might be legal in an other. With OneJury however, it would take a fluke for everyone to agree that a sale of grenades or child porn should be allowed. Unless everyone's moral compass is beyond messed up, these items would be voted off and the sale would not be allowed to list.

However, if OneJury is 420 friendly and everyone agrees that the sale of weed should list, who is to say that the sale should not be allowed ?. We need to prove to central authorities that we the people can govern and police ourselves.

Yup. The whole point of a decentralized marketplace is to sell whatever you want to whoever is willing to buy it. OneJury just makes sure you're not selling your kids xD

if everyone votes that weed should be allowed, then let it be so.

The only items I can see that shouldn't be allowed are:

-weapons and munitions like ak47 and grenades/landmines
-child porn
-human trafficking

Child Porn/Human Trafficking should never be condoned. However, I could see weapons and munitions getting sold its a second amendment right. Besides how is everyone suppose to prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse?

As long as marketplace users remain non-political (like most weapons laws are) then the marketplace should do just fine. Most countries that have weapons bans have the highest crime rates.

I agree that weapons that hold a valid civilian application should be allowed. So if its legal for me to target practice with a BMG .50 CAL, then I should be allowed to buy one. But I don't see people using landmines for hunting or claymores for target practice. Those types of weapons have a strict military application and in the case of landmines, are banned by most countries. Since that is the case, then those weapons wouldn't list.

I say we let it run and see what happens. CLOAK devs can always put the brakes on stuff like that.

Yeah but what if someone is trying to overthrow a dictatorship like North Korea? Those people wouldn't normally have access to those types of weapons without the proper contacts. Onemarket might be the solution for all these puppet democracies/dictatorships around the world.  Grin

I'm sure if we see someone selling missiles or C4 we're going to vote against it  Cheesy

About the devs intervening I think once one market is up and running the devs can't control it unless they get everyone to update their wallets. Once its up and running its going to pretty hard to stop it. Beauty of Decentralization!
