Well, looks like anyone with more than a few BTC is now trapped in the coin, nobody to buy. All or nothing now what a thrill!
No comments on patch progress or potential 2.0 delay still? Don't be like cinni coin.. They started out with great community support then totally fell apart at the first technical challenge.

We had a lot of noise about the cloaktrade feature which still does not work a few days after launch. Has any progress been made?

To be honest my comment is legtimate fud, only because I asked about potential 2.0 delay and it wasn't addressed. Dagger has posted a couple of times since then so it's reasonable to be somewhat concerned. If it's not delayed then sure, I'm in for cheap cloak ad happy for everyone to rest.

Never fails to amaze me, how much value can go up in smoke when just a solid, open line of communication can prevent capital flight. Say what you want about the DRK board, they have had loads of 'challenges' (setbacks) but the board is updated several times daily by devs themselves. I know the devs are hard at work, but this is also an integral part of any startup venture.

This bitcoinforum thread is not the only source of info- i agree that devs shall update it reguraly but you can follow other channels - it cant be very difficult- here for you the last tweet re: update which was 15 hours ago https://twitter.com/CryptoPioneer/status/482631444242907137its sad that most of the people are day traders who just want quick bucks and will jump on any opportunity to feast. Let me ask you- what are you doing for the community- did you even bother to check the donation address for the devs as they didn't have any premine or IPO like other scam coins, forget about actually donating some for their hard work.

There is a clear roll for the quick buck folks in any coin. They are the booster rockets that get the coin into orbit. The casual distaste people feel free to express about traders is quite misplaced. As for observation, asking me what i am 'doing for the community' is a non sequitur. I am simply pointing out that one tweet in 15 hours is not sufficient to prevent capital flight during a critical startup phase. The market is saying this quite clearly. And the sad thing is, it is entirely avoidable, as I pointed out. Yet the tendency here is to kill the messenger.

And the sad thing is, it is entirely avoidable, as I pointed out. Yet the tendency here is to kill the messenger. My first 'donation' is to the community- placing buy pressure and helping keep the value of everyone's coins high. My second donation as mentioned a couple of pages ago will be generous and will be to the devs - on successful implementation of 2.0. I am investing in the 2.0 project. And no I don't plan on selling as long as the coin stays relevant and useful in that state What's not understood is that this buy pressure is not sustainable when timeframes are extended, and is eventually exhausted. And then we must rely on the next wave of investors to sustain growth. Nobody is showing up right now.

Update:
Addressing network stability issues:
Problem.
We end with forks and wallets going out of sync as can be seen when network hash rate has dropped below 0.1.
Solution.
In the next wallet update we will run a dns seeder that is not restricted to 2 seednodes as at current.
It will prevent the seed nodes from flooding and therefore alleviate the sync problems and occasional forks of which we are very aware of.
Patching CloakTrade:
Problem.
The current problem is that the bitcoin core uses boost threads, and it is interfering with the qt stuff of which CloakTrade was built up around. We've been getting strange inconsistent appcrashes at startup as well.
Solution.
Instead of trying to get the QT files to work we are going re-write the affected code using cURL instead. This will be more compatible.
To help avoid compatibility issues, such as the one that happened with CloakTrade:
We are setting up 2 virtual machines next week, one for Linux and one for Windows. This will allow the CLOAK devs to work together in an open and shared build environment in which they can verify each others work and overall ensure better compatibility for our future projects (of which there are many).
Thanks everyone for standing by us during these very early days.
Keep positive... Cloak and our team have so much to offer, we are just going through some early teething problems which we are solving / improving as fast as we can.
