Basically a Proof-of-Stake is not made to be anonymous. On the contrary, it rely on the fact that everyone know how much coins there are on each address at any time.

Not sure you understand what we are doing or the way Sunny King built PoS. We are using Proof of Stake extension protocols, not the standard PoS system itself.

Could you please extrapolate on your statement "it rely on the fact that everyone know how much coins there are on each address at any time".

Also the part about saying you could create enough evil nodes is the equivalent of saying "you could create enough evil miners to make a 51% attack."

PoS works on network weight, so those evil nodes would have to have a large amount of the coin, and if they did, wouldn't if be counter productive to lessen the value by trying to corrupt it?

Correct me if I'm wrong - this is the only alt. coin currently attempting (and seemingly making good progress) on PoS Anonymity / Privacy of any kind ?

Even if the scheduled release has some issues and isn't fully working etc. - as long as it can be built / improved upon, then it will make for an important crypto currency milestone.

At the current price its probably worth acquiring a few cloak - that's not investment advice, although nothing ventured - nothing gained perhaps.

BitcoinFX is a godfather. He stood on the shoulders of giants at bitcoins inception. I respect his word. I will buy a few cloak.

Is there a minimum amount of coin to be a node ?
If not or if it require a small amount, you can easily create most of the node of the network through cheap VPS provider like digital ocean ($0.007/hour).
Once you've got most of the network, you can start sending corrupted data and fake the amount of coin you own.
An exchange like Poloniex will have no way of making the difference because everything will be obfuscated for anonymous purpose.
From that point, one can flood the market with coins.

We / CLOAK do not rely on nodes in the same way other coins have done in the past:

As can be clearly seen in the whitepaper.

Quote
Opt-Out System vs. Centralized Authorities
The proposed solution is decentralized, in that it is not reliant on centrally controlled authority nodes, all
nodes in the P2P network participate by default. Nodes that turn staking off essentially “opt out” of the
system, but they are also then ineligible to receive transaction processing fees.

This looks good. I have confidence that CLOAK will be a market leader. Its very simple. If you want to attract more users, make your platform user friendly and all in one place.

I don't want to visit a hundred different retailers, I want those retailers to come to me, through one gateway. I don't want to trade on 10 different exchanges, I want to trade on 10 different exchanges, but through one platform. CLOAKTrade and OneMarket will make this happen.

If I want to be anonymous, I use CloakSend. Simple. All these three things, on one platform. Brilliant!

Also let this be a lesson to all the neckbeards who yell "just compile in linux durr durr". Most people just want to point and click. No wonder most coins here will just be a nerd infested circle jerk. Not everyone uses Linux, Not everyone knows how to compile code. If my grandmother can't use the platform, then most people won't. No one has really bothered to make it simpler and more accessible for the average consumer.

Until Now.

CLOAK is poised to take off in a big way. Watch all the other alts scramble to copy CLOAK.

The holders of all the other ''anon'' coins are just flipping out now, beceause now they know that after Cloakcoins PoSA, their coin would be quit worthless beceause it's not fully anon. Thats the reason why they are talking so negative about Cloak.

Dark holders are slowly selling their darks now.

And i'm not thinking this beceause i'm a Cloak holder, its just the actual situation.

I"d say you are thinking that because you are in the darkthread talking shit & causing trouble. But whatever.
I'm holding all my dark. So are most.

But I'm really liking what i see with cloak Smiley Nice work Cloak devs !

But really, trolling & talking shit in other coin threads is the lowest of the low & for that, DutchTrade, go fuck yourself.
Smiley You are a stain on this coin's hard work & decent community.
But I hope you make yourself a quick buck at the expense of other crypto believers.

--now, with that out of the way, let's take a look at this promising & interesting coin---

There are a couple of little fucktards in here that think it's their business to troll other coins. Our community condemns this.

Good to hear. Smiley The potential in crypto changing the world is too important for us to resort to hurling insults at each other. It's nice to see cloak has a peaceful & productive thread.
It's a full on war zone in the darkthread...

P2P decentralized marketplace  Shocked Fantastic feature. Great Job everyone ! It needn't be crypto vs crypto as I now hold Dark & Cloak.
Happy to join this community, exciting things coming from Cloak Smiley
