www.hitbtc.com responded: $USD/CLOAK pairing will be coming very soon. They will email once it has been added to the exchange.

This is huge news, they do about as much volume as Kraken/Localbitcoins.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Lets all be real here for a minute......  Everyone has a sell point.  You can say till your blue in the face your going to hold a coin forever, but the truth is, you won't.  I hold a large bag of cloak that I've been holding for quite some time.  I also hold DRK and XC.  I don't have any intention of selling soon, but I do have an out, so a day will come when I sell.  There isn't any reason to bad talk other coins.  Truth is we are all invested in cryptocurrency to make some money.  If one coin fails it makes others look bad too.  Look at VRC.  Mint got hacked and we went almost a whole week without seeing any rise in value.  Why you ask, because people got scared their coin could get hacked too.  Bottom line is, if we weren't interested in making money we would all be trading carrots or something and calling them money!

Yep. I have invested in every promising anon currency because I believe in the idea that people should have financial freedom without government intrusion. The problem with the world today is everyone is guilty of money laundering until proven innocent. Cash is the truest form of financial freedom and yet all of the alternatives up until cryptocurrency have been plagued with so much regulation. I look at the anon currencies as an attempt to replicate cash in digital form - no IDs needed, no tracking and no verification. Everyone thinks this is a hockey match and communities become toxic because they are rooting for the player and not the game. It's really sickening to see these fanboys from the other communities go around the internet bashing the competition instead of supporting them. If they applied that energy to something positive they might actually make something of themselves one day.

+1

Now if we could just get a little teaser or something from our DEV team to keep the momentum going upward.  I'm not asking anyone to give anything away that would cause a buy frenzy, but a little peak into the crystal ball would be nice.  I believe in going up a little at a time, not a big spike.  Again, we need to be giving new investors a reason to pick cloak.  They need to see our DEV team working.  Keep the posts about POSA and One Market from pages ago coming.  If pages go stale and investors have to go fishing for good info, we won't see any upward momentum.

You know these are real people and not robots, right? They have been working non-stop on this. Good things take time, so relax and give the devs some room to breathe.

Hes getting frustrated, devs haven't been posting updates here. Alot of people visit this thread instead of the IRC. Some on twitter too. He must be in with a big chunk of cash and is getting worried wouldn't you?

I do agree with posting updates on thread, most people in crypto like to see all news in one place which is here. Too many cryptos to follow on this forum, twitter, other forums, ircs...etc so most stick to forum threads here.

It's been mentioned over and over to visit IRC, thats where the dev are.

edit: I'm glad they are taking the extra time needed to work out any bugs! When they deliver a solid wallet, then it will be party time.

Honestly I'm not getting frustrated. I do hold a large sum of cash in cloak, but that's because I believe in it. I was just hoping for more updates so more people can have the opportunity to see the value and get in too. If updates go stale, new investors think nothings happening. I know that's not the case but if you google "cloak coin" this is the first thread that pops up. If someone tells a friend, check out cloak coin, you know the first thing they are going to do is google cloak coin and end up here, not IRC.  You can point people to IRC once they land here but they end up here first. Why not have the best info the first place they come to? Also, someone mentioned earlier why I would want to see more investors come in and a gradual rise in value? Really?? You don't understand that? Do you not want to make it to number 1? That's only going to happen if more people invest in the coin and use it. If everyone just buys it and holds it, the value won't increase. Your investment will go nowhere. One market is proof you need a place to spend your cloak so cloak can grow. If one market works, other people will find other ways of using it as real currency. Until it can be spent like real money its not money!

Cloak is very undervalued right now. Everyone knows POSA and One market is right around the corner. I wonder if we will overtake drk once they are both implemented?  I'm pretty invested right now but I think I might grab a bit more knowing it's only going up from here.

We've got a USD/CLOAK pairing coming very soon through www.hitbtc.com. Keep an eye out for that.

That's huge! I just saw that! One less step for investors and traders. I think a modest value when that implements is .002

 #8591

so in other words it is something like Credits CRD? exactly what they are working on since ~January but without the exchange in the wallet? i mean CLOAK will have a market place same as Credits CRD, but no Decentralized exchange?

i understand the word decentralized, but what means market in this case? i don't quiet get it

mar·ket  [mahr-kit]  Show IPA
noun
1.
an open place or a covered building where buyers and sellers convene for the sale of goods; a marketplace: a farmers' market.
2.
a store for the sale of food: a meat market.
3.
a meeting of people for selling and buying.
4.
the assemblage of people at such a meeting.
5.

Market - to sell shit - Decentralized - unstoppable - decentralized market - unstoppable means of selling shit.

Update:

Testing, debugging, improving, rebuilding and repeat the last couple of days hence an apparent pause in communications.

So you guys can keep an eye on us you can check the latest build of testnet block explorer, which is where we are performing current testing.

http://testnet.cloakchain.info/chain/TestNet

We'll keep you in the loop as often as possible whilst trying to keep updates non repetitive.

Allot of hard work going on to get PoSA to the stage we can say.... Here you go!

Patience will be rewarded.

Below is an example of PoSA node announcements.

Its asking if you want to give them a donation. You can choose not to and just close it.

Another question; Will my wallet also mint new coins when I close it, or should I leave it open 24/7?
