I'm reading both XC and cloakcoin OP's and cannot seem to understand the difference between XC's new PBoC, and cloakcoin PoSA?
Does anyone know what separates these coins as obviously two front runners in the anon tech. Maybe explained for those that don't know ins and outs of anon tech.
thanks
What does PBoC stand for? no idea, just keep hearing of multipath and this PoBC that they keep talking about. Obviously XC is the buzz and just really trying to see what is better that investors are putting all there money there? I'm not seeing anything other than developer there is real guy. What i'm getting as is I cannot see why so many are investing in XC, thread is explosive, yet cloakcoin is not talked about much at all? What am i missing here? Marketing, cloakcoin devs posted a few pages back that marketing won't start until they release PoSA and I assume a few other features like CloakVPN..etc. Cloak coin devs are focused on developing cloak coin and doing the marketing later as development is way more important in a coins early age. Cloakcoin's new features start to come out, people will take care of the marketing and hype. Also gaining popularity before their feature is released is risky, if they delay the release or have issues then prices will drop and the word spreads fast. Darkcoin had this problem. PoSa has been delayed due to some flaws in POS but notice the price per cloak hasn't dropped dramatically it really just looks like a minor correction. Not everyone invested follows this thread.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

PoBC stands for Proof of Blockchain. This is what the XC thread says: È- In distinction from PoS, which secures a blockchain, roughly speaking PoBC allows blockchains to talk to each other. - PBoC is such new tech that (a) no-one except people at XC understand it (it's Jasinlee's invention), (b) it's not coded yet. - PBoC is not going to be implemented in the near future because it will take an enormous amount of work and there are more immediate goals, like real staking Android wallets." Notice the very last line. Cloak is way superior

Just this new PoBC is a bit confusing, and hopefully won't directly compete with cloakcoin in this. It's also good marketing is not taking off til things are ironed out, already hearing lot of fud about cloak fork in that it's not a good coin because of this, and good thing PoSA was not hyped yet, as It is still in process of making a good product.

That is correct! XC is buzz due to massive marketing and promotion. It is a good coin. However, Cloak has the goods today as opposed to the near future.

What's important right now is to address the PoS flaw and blockchain issues so we can release PoSA patch. IMO smart move is to reveal vulnerability after fixing it so other PoS coins take a hit but I think these devs have too much integrity LOL.

That would be the shark move. I'm all for it. If they are legit devs they'll be able to work out a patch before anything severe happens to their network. Otherwise their investors can come over to a coin with real devs fixing real problems.

That wouldn't be nice at all, in fact that would just cause a big mess with other coins and exchanges. I think PMing only the coins that deserve to know the flaw and how to fix would be the best idea. Once they are all fixed, release it to the public and see all the shit scamming coins fall to their death. OR just release to the public and let them deal with it. I think if Cloak devs help other coins they should be rewarded for their efforts like other communities donating for their hard work.

I say don't do it at all. The goal is to make CLOAK a market leader. You don't achieve that by sharing secrets with the enemy. There is reason why some coins are choosing to make certain parts of their tech closed source. We are in a very competitive space and it wouldn't be fair to CLOAK investors if the devs gave away an edge to competitors.
