Some thoughts: If this PoSA feature is not open sourced, it will never be fully trusted. So, eventually it will have to be open sourced (same goes for all other similar anonymizing methods on other coins). Question is, if it is open-sourced, will it still be secure and anonymous or it will be possible to track transactions?
Actually, open sourcing PoSA will make it even stronger. Any method of security that must remain closed source can't be trusted. The peer review process of open source only makes security implementations stronger in the long run. Even with PoSA's release looming on the horizon it will likely be improved many times in the coming weeks and months. Yet if you release it as open source, all the hard work of the cloak devs will be up for grabs for copy cat clones, thus making Cloak less valuable/desirable because now every new shit coin will have PoSA. I say keep it closed, this is Cloak tek not copy and paste code shitcoin tek That's absolutely not true. It would add value to cloak IMO. Supply and demand my friend. If cloak is the only coin with PoSA then demand will be higher. If 100 other coins now have PoSA, demand for cloak would decrease because there are now other avenues for PoSA anon.

All staking wallets will be nodes, I like that concept.
Question, since drkcoin has only a few master nodes, wouldnt it be easy for an attacker to just DDOS those nodes and bring a halt to payments?
Technically I think you're right. If an attacker was able to DDOS all of the master nodes then they would be screwed. Simply if a node goes down you move to the next available so if you get a list of all the nodes then poof. There goes DRK. http://wiki.darkcoin.eu/wiki/FAQ#What_happens_if_a_Masternode_is_DDOS.27ed.3F

Maybe once we hit 100$ a coin we can open that bitch up and share it with the world. It is a masterpiece after all!

Anyone with 1000 DRK and the technical know how to secure a server can start a masternode so there could be a lot in theory. In practice it is hard to secure systems and there is money on the line so I bet there are not too many nodes. I'm not sure what it would take to find all of them.

Really interesting to see Prof. John C. Mitchell, Prof. Dan Boneh (Profs @ Stanford) and their colleagues to adult of PoSA. So how can we make it happen? Does one of the devs/TR have connection with them ?

So, you choose to trust closed source anonymizing technology because of fear of copy cats... This means you only care about the market price and not anonymity. Doesn't matter if it's open source or not. People will still be testing the anon and trying to break it. If you can't break it, the source doesn't matter. Unless you are implying the cloak devs are secretly part of the illuminatI and are trying to track your transactions. Of course we care about the price, that's why we are all here. Or did you come to crypto to lose money?

711+ dark masternodes. http://drk.poolhash.org/darksend.htmlBut really it just added feature to tax their own users/miners, and promote buying 1000coin chunks. Heh, a tax on your own users for "anon" participation.

Heh, a tax on your own users for "anon" participation. I can think of a piece of software that can burst data to 711 servers.. cough nmap... cough.. not saying I would if I had the list. CLOAK really is a more elegant solution if they can pull it off like the testers say they can.

If you don't have any funds available to donate but can contribute in other areas feel free to reply here with anything you can bring to the table.
Hi guys. I can do some things for Cloak, also buying them so might as well promote it to add value. If everyone does his part for the amount of coins he/she holds then this coin can become real big. I have been promoting Cryptogenic Bullion since last year and have gathered some information and experience that can be usefull for Cloak as well. I really like coins with rare parameters (and POS) and Cloak is just picking up steam, it's great. Anyhow the result from putting information to work depends on community efforts because things need to be done that require more people. Ofcourse many already are involved and are contacting exchanges, vote, add or develop a service or promotion, write articles, create art, etc. but also many probably don't even know what they can do to help. I believe when a cryptocurrency is decentralized then many development and marketing should also happen decentralized, so the success depends on the accumulative result of everyones efforts and involvement. As many as possible should put their talent to work and help with adding value to everyone's coins then we all be happy when it shows on the charts. What do you think. +1 If anyone can contribute any type of talent to Cloak that would be awesome! Post your ideas or suggestions to http://cloaktalk.org/t/suggestions-for-marketing-ideas/76/7
