When a coin like Razor can trade between 0.001 and 0.0015 we have Long way to go. Haven't sold a single mineral and still accumulating. How is the betting coming along cause I hate to be the devils advocate here but we still haven't actually seen a working product yet and the due date keeps getting pushed back.
I agree there is no rush....don't pull a DiCEe / ea.
And if and when the beta betting is released anonymous should take a few days? I still don't think it is a bad idea to hire a proven, trustworthy "3rd" party Dev for this to help out.

MIN should be used as a lesson to all new coins: have a niche with a community that will actually use the coin, try to prevent instamining and pump & dumps, and developers that support and make improvements.

Forget anon it is a waste of time. Look at privacy that can be turned on and off but it is not urgent. Focus on utility first i.e. the betting. |

I agree I wasn't referring to you specifically. I just meant that full anonymity is a mistake (makes widespread adoption by retailers etc. harder) and is a distraction from more important developments. Privacy is easier to implement and less problematic. |

That's a matter of opinion. CINNI started as a scam/P&D coin. It had none of the fair distribution/mining features of MIN. Whilst it may have real developers now MIN has started out with real developers, an ethos of fairness, and incorporation of utility via betting. MIN has the momentum behind it at such an early stage, whilst CINNI has been around for ages and not really delivered on anything. Put all this together and assuming MIN continues to deliver it should easily surpass CINNI. |

Hashing power of each worker and IP will be limited to not more than 300MH (open for discussion) by limiting the number of shares that a worker can send to the pool per unit of time.
How do you achieve all of this?
The only way to avoid Miltipools, ASICs, big farms and third-party pools is by not providing the wallet and the source code until after the POW stage ends. The source code will be provided to exchanges which will be operational from the start. Moreover, to remove any doubt about the validity of the coin and it's source code third-party experts will be given the sorce code for validation and checks. The wallets might be provided before the end of the POW stage.
haha it's not the only way but im interested and happy to see this method tested in the wild. it was one of my earlier considerations which id since improved. you see limiting the hash will limit how secure your blocks can be and doesnt take full benefit from the asics but instead fends them off. however, this coins should still enjoy some success as the distribution method will create more fairness than what is currently available.if anyone is wondering what the hell im talking about. i made a post here earlier requesting a dev for my project. it is a bit ways ahead in thinking than this method. with improvements that will take advantage of asic technology without cheating low hashrates out of a share. allowing the network to grow in security with growing hashpower technology. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=611996.0if there is any interest please dont be afraid to pop me a line. EDIT: also 300mh will be too high. it will allow full 100-300mh asics running on 400watts power to still perform their pillage. coated(quoted) for extra pleasure. called it back then on page 8 of this thread. dont worry we're not done yet.. but this is the only way to call out some of the big players to sell their coins. if theyre tempted to sell at this stage guess what they can do at 10-20k or 100k. let them sell.. and let all the small hands that want min buy from them. threw some advice.. imagine what we could do if this coin was limited to 10mh.. oh dear  |

Anon is not that cool anymore there is betting feature already, integrated in the wallet(browser based yes, but better than nothing), cinni was a scam ninja launched, after admin closed their pure pos crap thread, because people were spamming their address, and it went to 37k, mineral can for sure reach 20k without problem, if whales arrive what minerals did with limiting the hash but centralize the mining, is still far above any shit renting scam coin you see nowadays in this section |

if people want to create successful coins they will limit hashpower. that is just the way it is now. crypto is too diluted atm for these ridiculous asics.. and there is 500mh scrypt asic being released at the end of summer. every scrypt coin is going to die if it doesnt at least limit hash, change to antiasic/multipool algo. add POS and a multipool. and well the multipool would sort of be pointless if all scrypt coins changed to antiasic algorithm. but knowing coins like litecoin and dogecoin.. they wont change so they can be raped for ever and ever until they finally fall out of crypto at 1 satoshi.
better move with the times.. hash limiting is where it's at.. for now. see my sig!
