I seem to be quite popular on this forum all of a sudden. The daemon was so badly stuck that it didn't save the blockchain, so I shut down the pool process so that the daemon would speed up synching. The pool will be back up in a couple of minutes.

Mining in pools is so ridiculous I think I am better of taking my chances solomining The hash rate has grown from 40 KH/S to over 600 KH/S in a day, so I'd say some growing pains are to be expected. This was the first outage on my pool for today though.

This was the first outage on my pool for today though. I wasnt actually talking about Kippo but cryptonote mining overall. I used Kippo a few days ago but then they were not finding enough blocks for the hashrate. Now that its big it suffers all the same problems as the rest of the big pools. I am still gonna stay with them for now as I live right next to Finland They still seem to have a problem finding blocks. They should have one every 6 minutes but the last block was a hour and a half ago

Yes it does. Every 3 hours. This reduce the dust TX. It is better for small miners and better for the whole network. If you're talking about late payment last week, PM me your address and amount missing. I have now received the full payout from the pool problems this last weekend, and this pool has been paying out consistently. THANK YOU!!!

Yes I agree Mining in pools is so ridiculous I think I am better of taking my chances solomining Ditto. Mining monero it's a fucking nightmare on any pool available. And fuck yes I agree! By the time you settle in and think as is well the shit hits the fan. I figure if I am going to gamble of sending my hash somewhere, at least I know wolf doesn't appear to fuck around about anything and thats the best thing going right now.

Hi, I've been mining for a couple weeks, and I've just set up a small pool given the current DDOS issues: http://moneropool.mooo.com/stratum+tcp://moneropool.mooo.com:5555 stratum+tcp://moneropool.mooo.com:7777 It's run on my home connection, and it's the first time so there may be teething issues, and it probably can't get too large, but it may help with the DDOS. We'll see how it goes. Feel free to drop by

Yesterday I left few hashes on few smaller pools. Today I got payed from every pool, except http://monero.crypto-pool.fr/, so either they cheating miners or they don't have a clue what are they doing. got payed from monero.crypto-pool.fr/

Seems that monero.crypto-pool.fr has copied the "Avg. Time To Find Block" code from my pool without any modifications. Not that I mind that much, but would've been nice if you had at least asked first.. http://i59.tinypic.com/2rfrpc9.png

Hello everyone, there is a thread discussion what you would like to see in an open source GPU miner for Cryptonight algorithm coins here. Please discuss what you would like to see in a GPU miner similar to Claymore's excellent miner

We added this function after seeing it on your pool. If you want us to make it different we can do. Otherwise thank you very much Bladetus for this idea and sorry for didn't ask. Next time we'll ask before.

I would pay 8 XMR for a script that setup a cryptonote pool for private use. Every pool I've used has gone down multiple times, but making my own pool for Monero has been troublesome, working on it for weeks now.

Why would you make a private pool for yourself ? Just solo mine on the same address.

How would I solomine with Wolf's miner? I tried pointing it to the wallet, but none of the methods seem to work, http or stratum. I have 3 computers at home, and 4 colocated, so having them all go to a private pool would seem like the easiest method, but setting up solo mining on each one would be optimal I assume, just would have to monitor each one daily for issues.

It works only on pools. You can join a small one or run private pool just for you.
