Has it been announced if any other exchanges will host this besides Bter on the 10th?
I recall seeing Polo mentioned as a possibility. The devs should keep in mind that Polo will be running a new IPO coin on the 10th (I think) so it may not be the best idea to release Crypti on that exchange the same exact day.

We will integrate with only Bter at the launch date, this in order to distribute the genesis block and allow some actual deposits and withdrawals run. Other exchanges will be integrated onwards.

I think this is good. Strong volume on one exchange is better than splitting it across multipe exchanges, at least to start with.

Well, low volume and only one exchange, this calls for trouble. Can you expect a big increase in demand on Bter after network launch? I don't think so. People who use bter have already made their purchases. And many potential dumpers are still waiting for the launch with high expectations.

I'd suggest getting on another exchange reasonably soon after Bter release, if possible. A lot of people don't use bter and possibly don't even know of the coin since it's not on other exchanges. After a couple of days the Polo hubbub over their IPO coin should be dying down, so get it listed then, or go after Bittrex/MP/Cryptsy. Get at least one other exchange, maybe two.

poornamelessme, jokumat +1 Yeah, to get onto new/additional big exchange is the quickest way to get new users. It helps to spread coins more widely. Are you able to hold 6 months? Yes. It's difficult to wait only first 2 - 3 weeks, than you forgetting about your coins.

People who use bter have already made their purchases. And many potential dumpers are still waiting for the launch with high expectations. Interesting differences of opinion. I think both views are correct (however paradoxical that may appear). This is because the only real distinguishing feature (between these viewpoints) is in fact the elapsed time from the point of open market launch (00.00 UTC on 10 August 2014). Long term, this is a great investment. But short term, there must be more sellers than buyers (because we are the only people who own shares to sell and we may be reluctant to buy more coins at what is already a higher price). I fully intend to grab some more coins if the price plummets to IPO levels. But I do not think it will. The price just seems to keep rising. In summary, Buyers and Sellers alike should get what they want. Sellers with OCD will make a quick profit. Long term buyers with a little more patience should make money in the medium to long term. Its all about elapsed time from launch and the vagaries of human psychology.

We do not intend to stop on a single exchange, and currently discussing the integration with several more. We put a lot of effort to make sure the integration will be as simple as possible, and Bter has already commented on how easy it goes. That said, we do looking to do some post-launch run-time on Bter to ensure all things are working smoothly (also because Bter will receive the majority of the genesis block), and then proceed to other integrations.

What is the difference between Crypti trading now taking place on BTER (that is to say, actual trading marked by higher volumes than Darkcoin and running at about 25% of NXT volumes) and the trading that will take place on 10 August 2014.
Is it the case that all current trading is limited to trading between existing IPO investors. Are third parties who are not IPO investors prevented from buying Crypti until the market opens on 10 August 2014.

This thread is full of serious long-term investors. I feel it.
I'd say even the "air" of thread is consistent. Like warm water.

Anyone can buy Crypti (tokens) now. The difference between now and after the 10th, at least from an investor standpoint, is after it hits more exchanges, more people will know about it. Some folks simply don't use bter. And of course real coins probably would be of more interest to folks than 'tokens', and investors probably want to see a smooth rollout. A working coin on multiple exchanges would typically be of more value to people than a token on an exchange that a lot of people may never use.

Thanks in advance

There's a new movement in Crypto (CoinsSource, PoD) where traders are beginning to trust coins who have verified developers. Transparency has become key to success now days, are the developers (and team) willing to drop their username pseudo-names and provide a true identification? This will have the largest impact on the coin in the short and long haul. There is huge ambitions in this project and what Crypti is trying to achieve cannot be done without verified developers. The age of hiding behind usernames is closing to an end.

The dev team have identified themselves. Check the thread.
