I like SMF +1 All the other crap is just web 2.0 hype, which are far too much design than usability. +1 I wonder tho, why it takes the team so long to bring the forum online..

@Devs
- Any update on the NodeBB Forum? - Would it be possible to see some screenshots of the current desktop client? - Any update on the Foundation Charter?
Forum will be up later today, though it will be SMF instead of nodebb due to stability issues. We are just moving hosting to avoid clumsy redirects. Screenshot below, board thumbnails to be added: SMF it´s the best one. Super stable, super fast, with a lot of plugins and addons. I always use SMF for the forum of sites i made. If you need some help i will help you free. @Devs

Screenshot below, board thumbnails to be added: Why not use Discourse : http://try.discourse.org/ / http://try.discourse.org/categories then? Discourse is being used by MaidSafe ( https://maidsafe.org/) & Ubuntu ( http://discourse.ubuntu.com/) SMF doesn't look or perform anywhere near as good as Discourse/NodeBB and has far less features than both of them. I would be nice to get off SMF... Discourse does have a better look and feel... I know you guys have worked hard on the SMF forum already... It takes less 10 minutes to set up an SMF Forum and probably 1 hour to customize it to get it to how it currently looks. With the amount of time you had available you could've researched for better forum software of which there are many. SMF is an old outdated piece of software that internet communities (outside of the crypto-scene) don't run because it looks hideous compared to other forum software. Here are the suggestions which I posted a few weeks back. To those interested take a look at these and compare them to SMF and you'll see what a difference it makes : Majestic v4 Theme for NodeBB : http://convoe.com/ (Used on Convoe, this was something I discussed for quite some time) Customized Discourse Forum : http://discourse.ubuntu.com/ NodeBB with majestic it´s super slow and it´s hard to surf throught it. And the Discourse come on, it´s a piece of crap.

I posted an update about the forum a week ago. NodeBB just simply is not ready for prime time. There are a lot of really weird quirks and we were having stability issues. Also, customizing it to where it would function how we wanted would have taken too much time. We spent a good period of time really trying to get it to work how we wanted, but it just isn't going to work right now. As I mentioned in the previous post where I responded to you about this, we aren't closing the door on transferring to a different platform later, but right now we need something stable and functional. As far as discourse, I also spent several days messing around with Discourse and I actually don't like it. It's basically a blog commenting system pretending to be a forum. I personally don't want to use Discourse. I did however really want to use NodeBB due to the functionality but it's just not quite there yet. In a year it may be amazing if they keep up the development but right now I just don't think it's ready for us to use.

It doesn't take a long time. We were trying to test and implement NodeBB and were testing it internally and trying to tweak it and develop modules we needed for several weeks. For right now, it simply requires too much additional development to get it to where we want it to be so we decided to go with what we know works, is stable, and is familiar to most users.

I didn't mean to make it sound like all your time must of been spent on the SMF set-up... I meant that testing the other options must have been timely... To basically not use them... all that work was done just to see which was the best option... And at the end SMF still came out on top... At the end of the day.. SMF is familiar, easy to work with and is stable... Thank you for letting use see behind the Development door... even on the smaller things like this...

Has it been announced if any other exchanges will host this besides Bter on the 10th?
I recall seeing Polo mentioned as a possibility. The devs should keep in mind that Polo will be running a new IPO coin on the 10th (I think) so it may not be the best idea to release Crypti on that exchange the same exact day.
We will integrate with only Bter at the launch date, this in order to distribute the genesis block and allow some actual deposits and withdrawals run. Other exchanges will be integrated onwards. @DEV Exchange is not the most important now,it's launch.

In nutshell, the transactions sent to merchants who were verified via Proof of Identity, will be counted in the formula used to determine who forges the block and gets the forging fees.

- Would it be possible to see some screenshots of the current desktop client?
The release version web wallet is similar to what we have in demo, with some graphic improvements and features: https://crypti.me:7040/The public distribution is a full-featured Crypti node bundled with web wallet, that allows anyone install and run it. We are now working to package it in a cross-platform compatible environment, which can be easily installed on Windows, Mac and Linux.

Important updateFollowing load tests performed over the last few days, we are ready for mainnet launch and genesis block distribution. Due to Bter being the majority of genesis destination, we are looking for their integration green lighting, so we could provide them with a mainnet node. The green light is expected on Sunday as scheduled, we will post an update in case of any change. Important note for Maxmint buyersWe have the option to allocate the genesis block portion directly to Maxmint buyers, thus saving them the 1% Crypti fee. Any Maxmint buyer looking to receive the genesis portion directly, please follow the steps below: https://github.com/crypti/crypti-docs/blob/master/presale.md#step-two-1NOTE: This option will be available only before the genesis block is generated, which is ETA at Aug 10th 00:00 UTC time (this night).
