Does anyone know what happened to the Syscoin launch? I'm hearing there is a lot of drama going on but I missed the developments apparently.
Looking thru the blog posts, this is what I have found out. If any of our blog readers are Syscoin investors, please correct me. It seems that Syscoin had an IPO and collected 250 BTC. The devs promised to set the BTC as a SELL WALL on an exchange, so it the price ever fell to the IPO price of around 500 satoshi, the original investors could sell and get their BTC back. Apparently, the devs have absconded with the BTC and are not answering email or blog posts. "I'm shocked, I tell you........ Shocked! !!" your refering to a BUY wall

So seems like the part about the devs leaving etc isn't true. They were apparently sleeping and everyone started to freak out and panic sellings. Too many people into these coins should go back to their video games or something because they really don't have the emotional stability for this stuff and just make it worse for everyone with their panic selling. Ok. Granted there was some technical issues and the devs shouldn't have just launched and went to sleep (not sure if that's exactly what happened or not though), but even so. Nothing but children in alt coins it seems. lol

I thought that everyone in crypto didn't want others to hold their hand? Didn't want some centralization? They wanted a free market and to live or die by their own merits? I sure do see a lot of people crying all the time wanting their hand held. But yeah, devs messed up not being around to fix things when problems started to happen. As for the buy support stuff? That's just hand holding for those that shouldn't even be investing in the first place if they can't handle it.

I agree, and tried to argue against it - if you are happy to pay 500 sat then you should be very happy to pay 400 - the only reason to ask for buy support is because you expect to instantly dump for a quick profit; don't know why the devs decided to pander to that.

An example of herd mentality and emotional trading. And an excellent lesson in the need for 24/7/365 monitoring of a mineable coin. Crypti should consider this as well. Should not be to difficult, as the devs are in widely spaced time zones. A glitch in the POS or blockchain early on can cripple a coin. After a coin matures, these issues are not such a big deal, BTC has survived several glitches.
