Hi !
I was thinking about a project which I might launch in 2017. It's about creating a solar park and selling the energy to the government of that country.
Is there any way I could use NEM for anything in this project?

Take a look at my post here: https://forum.nem.io/t/nem-supernode-rewards-program/1735/511Unfortunately the node rewards server had problems yesterday. But everything is ok now.

Well, there are for sure some use cases. For instance, you could use the NEM blockchain to keep track of the energy you fed into the public grid daily. Then you could use the information to balance account with the government. Hi !

Is anywhere any discussion or plans to change amount needed to be supernode? Does it make for me to buy 3 mils to run supernode, if in near future should required amount drop?

Hi guys, I have a rather stupid question about delegated harvesting:
When I activate delegated harvesting and set a remote NIS, what's left to be running on my computer?? NCC doesn't harvest, NIS does - and NIS is set to remote. So this would mean I can go completely offline and the remote server is "doing all the work"? Not getting my head around this... why would you even be getting rewards if the computational power is outsourced 100% (Not that I would be complaining though)?
Thanks for your help!
Delegated harvesting means you create a new account with zero balance that harvests instead of your main account. Delegated harvesting makes it safe to harvest on someone else's node or on a vps; it doesn't mean this automatically happens. With NCC you have to choose a remote server and start harvesting on it. If you did this you can shut down your NIS and your NCC. Beware: if remote NIS is restarted you stop harvesting on it. You better check it from time to time with your NCC. Good explanation rigel. To add to that: - you can harvest with your delegated account on your locally running nis as well,
- to answer your initial question, if you're harvesing: you can shutdown ncc, nis will continue harvesting (in fact you can setup nis in a way, where you won't have to start NCC at all),
- you can make a deal with someone running supernode, to insert your DELEGATED harvesting key, inside nis.additionalHarvesterPrivateKeys .

Yes, creation of immutable records. Is it a bulk meter? Does the government have an intake meter? Is it a multiple point injection of power supply? How are you expected to be paid? Do you want to check and make sure nobody steals your output, i.e., is security an issue? It all depends on your design requirements. You can work that out and let me know what you want to do before we should think of whether Blockchain can be used.

I own more than I did at launch too. Even up until a week or two ago I was still buying little bits here and there and very well might do so in the future. I'm really looking for a nice payday at $0.10 or higher in 2017.
some might think that is crazy, but...
dont be short minded never sell ur initial stake if all work out as we hope all the money u need for living is covered by harvesting and supernode income alone

aim for the 3 million if at all the network need high performance nodes able support mobike wallets so requirement checks can go harder not easyer i guess mostly on the tech part if the network gets 300 high performance nodes on top of the normal nodes thats enought and we have nearly 300 supernodes already why access should made more easy when gather 3 million is in fact a healthy generation of buy pressure

Are there plans to make mosaics usable separate from the NEM wallet? It would be nice to be able to create something like Bitcrystals (they use Counterparty) with it's own wallet and everything. To make it easier to brand your own token, just using the NEM network for security. I would much rather use NEM than Counterparty for my intended project, but right now it's not possible.

Why wouldn't it be possible now. You could make some adaptions to lightwallet to have it display/transact only a specific mosaic. The only thing is that you would still need XEM to pay for transaction fees. However, there are certainly some creative solutions to that.

I paid 1,5 $ Yesterday for a NEM transaction. Thats much much more I would have paid for a similar Bank transfer here in Germany.

How did that happen? I thought transactions were in the 10-15c range. That's still far too much but rather more manageable.

Hm.. how does transaction fees work with a Counterparty asset? Or NXT asset? I think I will need to do some research.

So can I have my computer fully shutdown and it will still harvest? when using delegated harvasting. let me know please. thanks in advance.
