How many XEM does a typical supernode earn per day, or average per month? (After deducting cost of hosted services etc.) I was just wondering is it worth for someone to spend around 35 BTC (around $24,000) upfront (based on todays XEM price) to purchase 3,000,030 XEM in order to receive a good ROI.
No, i wouldnt bother, i was looking at buying another 700K to do just that, but im just better off buying as much XEM while i can afford it, as you only make around $40-$50 per month max at todays prices and the current number of nodes etc. This could change, but i would rather buy a good lump sum first if you dont have any XEM to start with and just slowly accumulate $100 a month or whatever your budget allows you

Thanks. So, it's better to accumulate as many as possible now while they're still cheap, and then think about becoming a supernode when the price rises in the long term. "If" it rose to a dollar per XEM, that would be paying out around circa $50,000 a month as a supernode.

I think it would be considered one of the best passive investments. A lot of funds can average return 2%-7% since inception (averaged per year) but this is for an inflationary and skyrocketing cost of living US dollar. Your fund might go up 5% but did you know "food inflation" (increasing prices at grocery stores) can be between 3%-9% in a given year? Your fund might be gaining money but you may net lose purchasing power. I did some calculations and, as long as SuperNODE payouts remain above 150 XEM a day forever, then you can get 2.5% return on a non-inflationary platform.

They amount is constantly falling currently is about 400 XEM per day. And we are in bear market right now so your ROI in $ won't be fast now its about 5% of xem per year. But we are falling about 5% per week so is really hard to say its investment. If i know a future i would say you buy XEM when it will bleed f. that 5%ROI in XEM while you lose 5% a week right now probably its not worth. Bear markets can last very long but with some news price can jump high on market. If u look at graph of BTC and its bull market i would say that we will have nice pump in BTC fast then usually alts are getting hit and their have enormous gains. But no one knows a future people are talking about upcoming economy apocalypse since 2008y. and nothing really happened, as always till it happens. Martin Amstron tells that 2017y can be interesting in financial sphere when stock market crashed its money will flow into gold/silver/real estate probably some goes into crypto and we are FUCKING small comparing to Wall-street. "The average daily trading value was approximately US$169 billion in 2013." we have now 10.000x less so we are in the beginning of all crypto journey. Investing in crypto is high risk action. Hight gains and high lost same times. At end i can say that XEM devs knows where they are doing in code maybe they provide less marketing but for me its better have good devs than overhyped coin which will constantly go down with empty promisses. Now if would advise someone how invest i would say to him find month or 2month window when price is handing in +-5% of its value then buy XEM shares. In long run probably ten years from now current price of xem is like BTC for 1$ and people are asking buy or not to buy.

Supernodes will constantly be influx as the price goes up/down, and like the above said, earns around ~400 XEM per supernode. Converting that to dollars or fiat depends on the current price of XEM and price of BTC. However, the program states: https://forum.nem.io/t/nem-supernode-rewards-program/1735"The payout started at 70,000 XEM per day and will be split among all nodes that pass the tests for the day. This payout is planned to be increased at regular increments"Fun vote here: https://twitter.com/xemcoin/status/755088825404260356

For me winner is Catapult is winner. "Catapult will be the entire architecture re-worked and migrated from Java to C++ to aid in increasing performance and will be switching from the HTTP protocol to socket communication which will help reduce latency and improve bi-directional communication. It is a high-performance product that can handle high transaction throughputs, such as 4 digits per second, even on a geographically dispersed network. " http://blog.nem.io/relationship-between-nem-mijin-catapult-u/All looks interesting. Wallet is wallet some have chat inside some other bullshit but at end noone realy cares.Wallet should look good and be easy to use for noobs. cryptoapex as exchange it have to trade some unique goods like NXT nem tokens at beggining it drives volume up and new users we will see all of those projects are far from months rather to years to arrive from now. But if you look at poloniex and their trading volume it took them few years to be top traded exchange on market but its still possible cryto is very young now. Only 0,1% of people have ever used it.

What is the minimum requirement of a computer to run local and delegated harvesting?
I hace 2 accounts with more than 1 million xem, one local harvesting and the other delegated. I put the two on same computer and wallet to harvest and all goes good.
I would like to buy a new computer, the cheapest one to put it 24/7/365 what are the minimuns? What about a raspberry that I saw they are cheap?
Thanks, long life to Nem.

Memory is the main thing, it needs to hold the blockchain, so minimum of 2GB spare memory in a computer i would expect that 4GB or more would be ideal. Delegated harvesting does not use your computer so is only applicable to local harvesting

My Win laptop has 8 GB Ram but my Ubuntu supernode runs on 1 GB Ram. so it differs.

Do you think it could work on a raspberry pi 3 with 1GB of ram?

My pine64 has 2GB of RAM, im hoping i can find a way to harvest on this soon.

I think STEEM has a big part to play, it seems everyone is jumping ship to STEEM no matter what they are holding, this is a very dangerous move to make to invest into something sharply rising.

It is always the same pattern. If one coin/project hasn't announcements for some time and there is a new more exciting project, then money is flowing to the other project. Same seems to happen to NEM and others to STEEM at the moment. It will take some time i expect, but expect some more announcements next month Some positive announcements would be fine. It looks like as massive dump now, but question is why - is it for jumping into STEEM, or what ... ?
