Today the NEM team announces the release of the Android wallet. The iOS app is in late stages of development and will be ready soon. YouTube Promo VideoThe new apps work in conjunction with the recently released NanWallet. The mobile app allows users to make and scan invoices, export their address book contact, or backup their wallet via QR. The Android app can serve to work reversely as both a merchant point-of-sale app or a user app. The new apps also work with the Owon's newly released paper wallet generator. To run it, unzip the folder and click on the Voucher+Paper_Wallet.exe file. All private and important information is stored locally and never transmitted over the internet. Good to know: The private key is all you need to access your XEM balance from any other device. There is no XEM kept inside this mobile wallet app, all is **on the NEM blockchain!** Here is a link for the blog. Here is the link to download the Android App.

NEM wallet app appered in googleplay store. But, when I search for "NEM wallet", testnet version appears first, and after unrelated apps, real NEM wallet app appears.

Any date yet when lightwallet will be released for iOS? Unfortunately I do not have a Android phone, and as NEM hodler I would really be interesting how this new app wallet "feels" like. I already saw some screenshot and it looks great.

It won't be out next Friday because it hasn't been submitted yet, but I guess we could try sometime "soon". I'll have to give it another good round of tests and talk to the developer.

Nice promotional video. I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more attention.
I'm going to invest a couple more dollars into XEM. Seems like a project that could have a future.

As far as I am concerned Mijin is hands down the best private chain, and anybody that is using a private chain should do a head-to-head trial against Mijin. TB is so confident in their product they are giving away free trials of Mijin to real companies. Mijin has a chain that is so awesome and good, that it will make a business better, and Mijin will even give it to them for free! http://mijin.io/en/

You can use the same private key in Nano, Android, Lighwallet, and NCC and you will have the same account on each wallet. Also, NCC has an option to export wallet to Lightwallet format. That wallet will work in both Nano and Lightwallet. And now that the Android app is out, the next update to Nano in a week or so will also have an "export wallet to Android" option where the app just scans a QR in Nano and now you have the same account on your phone and your desktop.

I think NEM is the best coin. In a perfect world it would be number 2 behind Bitcoin. It's done so much without collecting millions from an ICO.
