This release of NanoWallet also has the updated fee structure for the upcoming fork at the end of this month.  So if you try to use it today, your transaction might get rejected by the network for the fee being too low.

Can you explain that FORK? Thanks

Price is up 10% on Poloniex today.
I was hoping to get some more cheap coins before people realized how good this project was LOL.  Sad

The fork is to lower the fee for each transaction and it is due to happen at the end of the month. So, the nanowallet update is to be used after the fork as the fee stated in there is lower in value compared to the current one. Hence if you use it now, it won't get sent out. Fees are pre-calculated based on a formula.

There is a mistake in Jeff's post. Latest version is perfectly fine on Mainnet, a switch will change for new fees automatically at block 875000.

- Private key wallet is to import an existing account. So you need to provide the account address and the private key.
- Brain wallet create a new account  from a passphrase (using same passphrase will always generate the same account)
- Simple wallet creates a new account using a PRNG (Pseudo Random Number Generator)

Mainnet is the main network, addresses starts with N
Testnet is the test network, addresses starts with T

Soon nem one million blocks weighing less than 1 GB, which dart right to work with the platform and on slower machines and on tablets and budget smartphones, which, coupled with the functionality makes nem one of the best on the planet

we remember that along with the release of the apostille, catapults, and other, was the intention to revise the transaction fees in the direction of reducing them, but we see that with the release and nano wallet and other software components that has not been done, I think that it will benefit future users, investors and of course negative in terms of PR

QM answered well.  And yes, please use 8-12 random words. You can use some website like this, but I suggest don't use the exact list.  Like maybe click a few times and pick one word from the list, click few more times again and pick one more word, click again and pick one more word and so on.  Then mix the order. If you followed that method, even if the website was corrupt, they still wouldn't compromise you.  http://www.textfixer.com/tools/random-words.php

I did it and made a test pass phrase "allow erotic hype folding vampire diamond fictional courage hazard force".  something like that would be very strong.

i think it should be possible use nanowallet on a unrooted android phone too or?

a guide regarding set up this would be great

also a delete account feature because on a non rooted android device u wont be able delete the wallet file on ur own i guess?

Are you checking your email? A confirmation goes there. And if I remember rightly it asks you to add a message to XEM transactions.

nah, did not get any mail. i got the "confirm transaction" mail from polo, thats about it. how come there is no newbie explanation for stuff like this? im def not the smartest person but I installed some wallets so far and they all have been easier to understand. if nem wants people to use their wallet, how come documentation is so poor? just m2c. but thanks for the help everybody!
