I just updated my NCC to the latest version, and I made the mistake of leaving the NIS running while doing that. So now when I try to start up the NIS, it tries to start up and then stops right away. How do I fix this? In the meantime I exported for the 'lightwallet' from the NCC and downloaded the Nanowallet. Would I be able to now disregard running the NCC wallet which I'm having problems with, turn it off and only use the Nanowallet? That kinda of seems to be the case to me. I like this nano wallet, already tested sending some coins You might have corrupted the NIS database when updating while it was running although it is unlikely. You now have several options: 1) You can switch to Nano Wallet 2) You can delete the NIS db and sync from scratch 3) You can change the ncc config to use a remote NIS Choose whatever you like best.

Hi guys,
I'm here to report back about the Inside Fintech event.
Our booth was a big success and Rene did a great job presenting Apostille on stage with a 45-minute talk.
It was a very big success. We were very busy and still are very busy following up from the event and expect a lot of things to come from it.
I personally talked to lots of people that were not aware of NEM and they now are impressed with it.
NEM is now on the radar of the top blockchain players in Korea and we have a lot of following up to do.
There were many smaller projects that are now looking into NEM and at least one exchange and I talked about a dozen large banks and financial institutions about mijin.
We also made lots of connections in the blockchain academic world and will be following up on those too.
A few interesting things. Everybody is "talking" blockchain and how it changes the world, but nobody is doing live demos like we were. Quite a few heads were turned in live demos when I showed them namespaces, send by name, making your own asset, multisig contracts, and Apostille all packed nicely and neatly into one platform that works and is here now. NEM is actually a pretty amazing technology and blockchain platform and people are starting to get that now.
Additionally, there is a big world out there of really important people that gain their blockchain awareness and education at events like this. Such people don't venture into BTT or other forums and such people rarely ever get to see live demos of tech as great as NEM.
We really need a lot more people to attend and promote NEM at conferences like these. The platform almost just sells itself. If we can improve our marketing, I think we can get a much larger market share of actual blockchain projects for real businesses.
We are really busy right now at the moment preparing for other events. For instance this week we are making an application at a bank and will meet with a group of important businesses, but when we have time we plan on posting more pics and a video of Rene presenting Apostille.

This is TERRIBLE news!!!! You guys must stop, I first have to buy more XEM before you chase the price up! :-) lol. Only sarcastic, of course :-). This is amazing news. I only learnt of XEM this past week and is blown away. Awesome tech, and like you say, it is here NOW. Unlike other cryptos that are all still "pie in the sky". I am shocked that NEM has not received more attention. Just glad I am getting involved now, before it blows up. Good luck and continue with the amazing work!

I'm sure there are plenty of people who are intrigued with the idea of participating in something like this, myself included, what I'm wondering about though is the depth of knowledge required. Through passive absorption I've picked up plenty of knowledge about crypto as a scene, but technically I'm pretty much bleedin' clueless. What types of things are asked of people who attend events like this? I assume they're stocked with people who know their coding inside out and would ask accordingly.
