Foundation is moving forward https://blog.nem.io/nem-foundation-inauguration/"Members of the community are encouraged to apply as members of the foundation. The caveat is that, as a legal entity, members of the foundation will have to be known persons, of the right age, and have a clean record."

I'd like to have the ability to import a private key into the NEM mobile wallet. It would be cool to use my mobile wallet to check my main wallet balance sometimes, and be able to send XEM out from that address.
thanks for posting that YOU ARE WELCOME☺

-tax dogging -give people money and they don't pay income tax (in my country they should pay like 22% tax) -crypto give you a freedom of work without taxation ( like forum signatures eg. ) -avoid capital control be careful ........ everyone has access at the blockchain..... the tax authority too......many years retroactively.......

it is very nice, and Im happy nem is being adopted, but this seems to be very small studio, so not really MOON time for now, but insight in future.
This. It looks like all that "mini-hype" around this is over, we're now falling again at 890sat, and we're already back at #9 position, below Augur. But did you see all the gain and attraction, which Dash and Ethereum has now? Regardless of what we think about these currencies (especially Ethercrap, hmm), it is impressive. Hopefully NEM will have also this kind of attraction and (marketing/hype) progress someday in the future. This superior coin deserves it, surely.

Its good seeing more money coming into alts. $5 billion now in the top 10 coins and the crypto trader is a fickle beast and will move his investment to the best prospect in a very short period of time.

you need a visa card and a bank account plus feeeeeeeeeees ...crypto is more for unbanked people.bank can not compete with crypto. case closed
1) Except on localbitcoins to buy crypto you need what?! again bank account and credit card! 2) To buy altcoins you need what?! You need to buy BTC first as all the altcoins are traded for BTC. 3) to buy BTC go to point 1. We are stuck and will be stuck in this loop until someone starts producing and selling food directly for crypto bypassing all that FIAT crap as it seems you can't eat if you don't not have FIAT. 1. localbitcoins accept cash no need for a bank account ATMs also accept cash no bank account is needed 2. now you've to pay for google fee( YOUR PRIVACY wiLL BE SOLD to cover the cost of the app and settlement...nothing is free☺) & bank transfer fees + take 3 days to the money to show up on you bank account no thx not for me 3. with crypto you have access to a whole financial ecosystem. not just send and receive money u can lend money borrow money buy stocks create your assets ..ect and in the same time protecting you privacy if u choose to 4 .it is cheap like dirt & cross border ...this is why google+visa can not compete unless they create their own blockchain. 5. you can spend you crypto easily without using fiat there is s hundred of thousand shops that accept btc and altcoin... Actually, I'm not bothered with google pay and similar paypal type services as I can use mobile app in my country without any fees. I can pay in any store and receive money instantly to my account paying 0 fees. I also don't bother myself with privacy issues as I do not have anything to hide. I want to pay taxes as I think it is for social good of society and my country.

....Google pay...
GooglePay is not so new. In our country, several kind of mobile/smartphone pay exist already. Except convenience, they are not so differnet from Paypal and credit card in charging high fee on receiver/seller. They develop/offer convenient payment process for their profit. But crypto charge very low fee(almost zero) on sender only.

Looks good. One question though. When catapult launches, will all NEM wallets need to be re-written/modified or is just the core that is affected?

Is there some ~ ETA, when catapult will be launch, or is it still just under the "popular" sentence "it's ready when it's ready" ?

Can somebody explain if private NEM blockchain affects the public one we use. Are they on a completely separate network and don't share transaction fees with all the public harvesters? When Hitachi starts using NEM, will it be a private or public blockchain they use?

Private chains do not share transactions/blocks/fees with our public network. And Hitachi sure is using a private chain, at least for testing.
