what advantages does having a hardwallet? i don't see it very useful really. but if you find it cool so be it. i don't think it can help the price to rise up. its just a hardwallet the rest of the coin also have it. what NEM needs these days are tokens under this wings that could drive its price up.

LOL at these people who think they're going to get $250,000 of coin after the fact. You snooze, you lose.
250,000 Dollars ? You can`t be right ! Or it`s "testnet" again. No he is right, a stake = 2.25 Million NEMs multiply with current price... and BOOM, cry..., cry a lot... xD I`m crying. Nah, i don`t believe you. Please, help me ! I can confirm that he spoke the truth. You`re kidding me, right ? I see you can't handle the truth, not my problem EDIT: Here from wikipedia "Stakes of NEM were to be distributed to those who contributed to the project in amounts of 2.25 Million XEM." Go look yourself if you don't believe us. I`ll lay down and have a nap, that`s to much for one day !

i don´t think it will have a direct impact of the price. it´s just a good way to store your XEM. Safety first. And it´s always good for the project to be integrated

And if you want precise value of stake based on today's price on coinmarketcap -- 2250000 x $0.120868 = $271,953 If it makes you feel any better, there were many impatient people whom didn't believe in the potential of NEM that sold their stakes on release @ 0.00000150 BTC, At that time 1 bitcoin was around $300, so they would have got around $1000 when they sold.

It's very useful, not everyone's computer is bulletproof, especially (but not only) those adventurers who are still using Windows, aye? Trezor (or paper wallet or multisig) is a must if you have considerable amount of any digital asset.

A hardwallet protects your XEMs from hackers (if you hold them at exchange or on computer), if your harddisk crash and many other situations. You can put it in your safe if you want. The second point is, when your XEMs are not available on the market (exchange) then there is fewer supply of XEM so if the demand will rise, there are not enough XEMs to be bought so the price can't take any other way than up!

Damn, I just ordered a Ledger last Week...
me too. LOL I think it will be integrated in Ledger as well I don't care what it goes in, I'll buy it. I don't trust my own security measures. This is superb news. If it makes you feel any better, there were many impatient people whom didn't believe in the potential of NEM that sold their stakes on release @ 0.00000150 BTC, At that time 1 bitcoin was around $300, so they would have got around $1000 when they sold.
I seem to recall the very first sale on Poloniex when it launched was for over 10,000 satoshis. I assume it was a dollar's worth. Considering how little a stake was for so long I don't get why anyone would've sold. I'd go without a few hundred dollars and see what the future potential was.

I was thinking why BTC38 is still selling so cheap and this is why so price is officially above 0.1$ per 1 XEM
Congrats to NEM team, another nice price milestone reached!

I really like the news.

Trezor (or paper wallet or multisig) is a must if you have considerable amount of any digital asset. nano wallet serves the same thing though, its also safe. but yes having windows is something not safe. if you are into bitcoin i guess you are also that techie to learn how to store your stash safely and would probably learn to use unix system as well. xem team might consider creating a wallet like how myetherwallet.com works.
