If my XEM are safe in the nanowallet, I can be sure to survive any EMP attack going off in my house (worst case scenario). Can I print the large code in the .wlt wallet, then type it again in a text file, save as [wallet].wlt and being loading in nanowallet?
Yes, the text in the .wlt file is basically your private key encrypted with your password. If you print it out you can restore your encrypted wallet file by hand. Think of it as an encrypted paper wallet which is safer than printing your private key.

I just imagine average people wiht less experience and less resilience in the crypto world... no good at all for them as an experience with a coin... enough to move to other coins
You have complicated everything yourself. Any newcomer can easily open an account in Nem, buy XEM on stock exchanges and withdraw their money in NanoWallet. I bought without problems for 20 minutes on bittrex more than 80 000 xem and sent it to my NanoWallet. The security level of NanoWallet satisfies me. I would not say so After years of UI design work, I believe that applications, specifications and guides are not good enough, if the user meets problems and is frustrated enough to tell that loud. Then the problem is such that it matters. And as here has already 3 - 4 members commented that the documentation is not up to date, then there is something to be corrected. The docs affect to the whole usability. Well.. that is part of the marketing. And the marketing may be crucial to get such new members, who are not so "techie" AND have a lot to invest. Some users (you?) may be so adaptive or clever that they find the right solution at first clance, OR they do not stop themselves to think what was wrong with the first try, and forget that immediately after they find something that works "Some users" - well, it may be also "the most of users", even "95 % of users" ... of the users, who managed to struggle through the redemption phases ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=654845.msg9425957#msg9425957) thanks a lot for your comment.... at least one person is understanding the purpose of my messages and comments and how key is to take into account the feedback to continuously improve from the vew on people outside the dev team. Most people whic would have had a bad experience, would just have left not reportiing the issue, telling bad things around them about NEM, without NEM community knowing what was going wrong.... and not understanding later on some negativity started to appear in some circles..... People satisfied by a service are telling 2-3 people quietly, people NOT satisfied with a service are telling 10+ people LOUDLY telling bad things or rerporting bad things is useless when this is the only purpose.... this is useful when it is done with the desire to tell what is not going well in order to change and correct (which was my attempt). yes, the target is to improve things, not to criticize. I also must clarify my comment: "guides are not good enough". The guides are well done and mainly exact, but when the user is very conscientious, and wants to follow the instructions exactly as they are written, then there may become problems. Examples of problems: - in the redemption there were some things unspecified about the phases. 643 stakes were unclaimed. (Also undersigned was almost one of those) https://forum.nem.io/t/not-claiming-nemstake-why-it-is-no-longer-possible-and-the-history-of-the-process/2859https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=654845.msg18333086#msg18333086- NanoWallet's guide is not updated and the start.html issue has raised questions.

Considering companies with tens of millions of VC funding like GDAX and Kraken can't build exchanges that can take the heat, does anyone know how functional this company's products are?

The July 2017 issue of Forbes magazine mentions NEM. Page 70 NEM MarketCap $1,430 YTD Return 4,320% " A cryptocurrency that is popular in Japan, where banks are testing an enterprise version. Many Western crypto enthusiasts have little idea what it is." (page 72 in the pdf) http://serialmagazinepdf.com/2017/07/66662/Wow! It's a nice article. I think Japanese are not fools at all, they know what they do (and they actually bought a lot of NEM recently, worth 20-30m$?). Maybe there will be a nice pump soon

Comment by Lon Wong from: http://www.cryptostream.jp/nem-blockchain-global-5761/First of all, we have 10,000 square feet of places just to build one wonderful center. Also in the future I plan to create one center in each of Europe and Silicon Valley . Secondly, I am planning to open a startup support center. We will support world-class start-up companies with 5 million dollars . The aim is that after the support is done the company will start steadily on the way to huge venture capital. Even one of them alone will make us famous worldwide.
Thirdly, a very important tip is that we are developing our own exchanges . This exchange will be used to conduct all NEM Mosaic (or ICO), XEM , BTC , and possibly later ETH transactions.
We are also planning to negotiate with financial institutions on the issuance of encryption currencies utilizing mosaics that can be traded on our exchanges with the legal currency as collateral. It is a currency like USDT, but we want to make it more than one currency, which is supported by a huge financial institution .
(Caution: We are planning to discuss in the future, this content is not finalized)
I hope all members will support this exchange. Since the NEM Foundation is not a profit organization, the profits obtained from exchanges are used to survive the NEM . NEM, forever!

I just installed the NEM nano client because I had always problems to get NIC and NIS run properly on my machine. I do not know what the problem was. Nevertheless, nano client is the better option for me. I am wondering where I can see the importance on nano client?
Also, I would like to suggest an improvement for the client. There should be charts to see how the importance and the balance have changed over time.

How many NEMS are needed to run a delegate for the NEM network? Also how much a delegate is making on a daily/monthly basis?

10k vested xems are needed to start harvesting, but you only harvest a block in 3 months i guess. You don't get rich by harvesting.
