The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

great

There are some quick exchanger now - Changelly and Shapeshift. But there are permanent problems with XEM wallet on Changelly. Though XEM formally not delisted, there is often not XEM on the exchanger in fact
https://changelly.com/supported-currencies

There is one more exchanger - Coinreform. An interesting exchanger but in my opinion there is not enough NEM. I suggested that they add NEM

Yep.
Bitcoin, Ether, Bitcoin Cash, Ripple, Litecoin, Ethereum Classic, and Nem. Leverage will be 4x. The platform will run on your standard home operating systems, and deposits/withdrawals will be made in yen, Bitcoin and Ether.

This month, 16 exchanges applied to the Japanese Financial Services Agency for a licence under the new ‘Virtual Currency Act’. This law was passed in April 2017 and gave Bitcoin and Ethereum legal status as a means of payment. All but four of the requests were denied

Can 2018 be like - crazier than 2017??

can't believe I've buy 14.5milion Xem at 28 satoshi in 2015 and didn't hold it... basically lost an 15m$ opportunity ugh
OMG! I would rip all the hair on his head. it is good that I have almost nothing Grin

I think that is a situation where we all have been with XEM Cheesy (okay, maybe not with 15 million, but.. doh!)

With these recent rises I think a 10$ price is totally achievable this year.   I must admit that the current price was expected by me, but not this fast.  HODL guys!

Yeah, looking back in retrospect is allways terible! I wish i would have bough more when i initially found NEM.
I'm impressed by the current price, so i think 10$ is ambitious. I hope for 5$, but we need the volume to pick up a bit!

we need volume to pick up and the bottom of the market to not drop out before we really take off. Bitcoin is really struggling right now, even though it's still tops as far as market cap, adding more altcoin/fiat pairs at more exchanges will cause some serious problems for btc. People will be able to bypass it completely and will drive it's price down. It's only at 35% dominance now, which is pretty bad considering the large market caps of the top 10 coins, and especially #2, 3 and 4.

I agree that $10 is really ambitious.. $5 still seems pretty lofty. I hope we get some big announcement or a large exchange (coinbase) adding nem/usd pairs to really kick things into gear. I think 20 billion marketcap is not outside the realm of possibility, maybe even 25 billion.. by then we'd be sitting around $2.75, which would be absolutely huge

About volume, don't forget coinmarketcap doesn't count https://upbit.com/exchange?code=CRIX.UPBIT.KRW-XEM which represents roughly half of NEM total volume if i'm not mistaken. So it's not as bad as it looks  Wink

Heads up all you Trezor users. The fella who developed XEM for Trezor has just dropped this - https://github.com/saleemrashid/nem-trezor-standalone

Which now means you can extract a private key from the Trezor seed. You're no longer dependent on Trezor only. This should put any minds out there at rest.

Download it from Github, unzip it. Click on the index.html file inside the downloaded folder a million miles offline of course.

Enter the 24 word seed your Trezor gave you when you created your XEM wallet on it in the BIP 39 Mnemonic box on the page and like magic your private key will show below matching the address.

It now no longer matters if Trezor goes bust and every single device they ever made evaporates. You'll always be able to retrieve your private key from the Trezor seed with this tool.

Only do it on a machine that's never seen the internet though. I've already tucked this away in one in case I ever need it.

You can also check the private key is valid on an offline Nano wallet. Enter it when it prompts you to create a private key wallet and if it shows you the matching address it's all good.

This is an update I think is very timely from NEM. NEM's management team is preparing for the best of it to work best in 2018 with anticipation of a major shift in the entire crypto market. In my opinion, investing in NEM is very reasonable.

It looks like NEM finally broke through the one dollar barrier. It's now at $1.11 on CMC. Congratulations to all the NEM holders!

In 2018, the overall digital currency is growing wildly. Nem's current rankings are up, requiring substantive advantages or rival bugs, otherwise the bottlenecks will be encountered

Now that NEM is firmly above 1$, I believe it will stay up there and only grow further in value. That´s the true benefit of a platform project, it has way more to offer than a simple coin could. And NEM is a great platform
