I completely forgot about BitTrex' NEM wallet being offline, and I bought some and now they're stuck. I submitted a support ticket because I think having a wallet offline for a month is ridiculous. Does anyone know the status of getting this resolved for everyone? Are any NEM developers in communication with BitTrex on bringing the wallet back online?

The price of NEM seems to be in a bit of a slump right now, so figured this was as good as any a time to buy a few, but... now I'd love to harvest with them.

Frankly i'm not surprised.

The "hack" (if it was that) has made NEM a hot potato in the eyes of exchanges, who are the source of the problem anyway. (If coincheck had properly secured the wallet, it wouldn't have happend -- unless it was an inside job...)

Unfortunately NEM is the scapegoat.

I hate to say it but i anticipate nem to be alienated further depending on how the coincheck "hack" develops. It's infuriating as it's the exchanges at fault, but their greed (and thus, influence) in the market is no different or better than banks. Undeserved, but can't be ignored.

I think the last information from telegram is that they are well aware and communicating with every exchange involved.

That's it Ripple is also a big scam and fully centralized so that this sounds a big joke when scam project shouted like that. It mean ETH, EOS, Cardano, NEO and so many token will disappear from the scene be realistic and don't take it serious.

If I understood well,
You've been able to purchase XEM on Bittrex and you can see your XEM in your Bittrex account (NEM wallet) but you are not able to withdraw it to your personal Nano or whatever wallet, right? Please confirm.

That is one of the reasons, why NEM will grow much in the future;P, and other "fungible" and "decentralized"projects like Monero will be banned by banksters and their govermental puppets. NEM fights not with masters of system, NEM will be part of it. New World Order = New Economy Movement. I saw that since the beginning. Other thing is that NEM read from behind = MEN (8999999999 people in the whole world and will be fully implemented). Lon Wong and all people from NEM Foundation are presumably freemasons, but afterall - pecunia non olet.

And after some time from now i see this things to happen:

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/XEMUSD/Bnf7Oxmk-Longterm-NEM-XEM-view/

Rinse and repeat pattern;)

As I saw in the internet NEW is very active in Russia. Any plans regarding Ukraine?
In Kyiv (Ukrainian capital) there lots of important crypto conferences held, and also many important blockchain project come from Ukraine. Not counting miners and traders, there are many blockchain developers in Ukraine.
So any particular plans which you can share?

That is correct. I sold some other coin for BTC, then used the BTC to buy NEM. The trading was just fine. But when I went to the wallets page to make the withdrawal, I saw the indication that the NEM wallet is completely offline. I'm sure my NEM is safe on BitTrex for a while, but I generally prefer to not just keep my coins on an exchange if I don't plan to trade with them soon, and well, we all know, NEM is a coin to HODL Smiley

Not to mention, depending on how many you're buying, you're also losing out on the staking rewards. I know the staking reward isn't too high with NEM because there is no supply-inflation, but it can still be a nice chunk.

Almost all Altcoins are up but XEM is belly up  Shocked

That's because XEM doesn't really solve any existing problem or actually do anything useful at all.

It's just another vehicle for speculation.  But after the hack and terrible crisis management by its Core devs, XEM is fatally wounded and bleeding out as it dies.

XEM will fade away just like Maidsafe and all the previous pump-and-dump flavors of the month.

Volume has quadrupled from the lows of 22 million the last few days for no appreciable reason, yet price remains bearish. Every time it starts to make a move up it stumbles.

Methinks people want to keep the price low and accumulate for now, then we'll see a big gain like december and January.. not necessarily that high but a good sized jump up
