"shills" ?    Why?  Where is the proof for that?

For NEM is done much more work than to any scams. The most scams were just collecting the IPO moneys.
(see the amount of codes ...  I do not believe that scammers have so much free time to code scam codes)

Most of the world's softwares are closed, only their API's and file formats can be open.
"Closed" is not a reason to say "scam".

To all the guys who have been here from the start of nem announcement, how many cashed out more than a million $ (or several million) during 2017-2018 peak time?

I confess I did Smiley Despite all the bashing I did at nem and nem developers back in 2014-15, thank you guys.  People forget that I owned nem stakes even when I was trolling a lot here.

Ethereum was good too and work with xhamster and youporn.

I still own a lot of nem.

What exactly does this Opt in period mean in upcoming June?
Does it have anything to do with the NEM blockchain snapshot, as I can't find anything more detailed on GreenTea's roadmap for the snapshot?

Tried the Wallet installation from this site https://nemtech.github.io/wallets.html#installation

Some guides could be clearer tho some may say that "it is obvious".

The instructions lead to https://nemtech.github.io/getting-started/setup-workstation.html
where is a note: "Symbol CLI requires Node.js 12 LTS to execute."
A small guide would clarify that in some cases you need to install Node.js (from Nodejs.org).

After the Nodejs is installed, then it is clearer to say directly that
          + Start Command Prompt in Windows/Linux

When running the command "symbol-cli account generate"
in the guide is missing these rows:
          +  Select Import type :         Private key / Mnemonic      (help? what is the difference in the usage...?)
          +  Set the Password for the new wallet :

In the end there is a note: "You should see the account credentials in your terminal."

Well, in this case there was just:
"ERR Check if you can reach the Symbol url provided: http://localhost:3000/block/1."

No guides for solving that ERR ....

The snapshot will take place at some point between end of October to the end of November 2020.  Opt-in is around the same time.

According to the road-map Symbol launch is taking place on November 30th 2020.

"Opt In

As per the plan, we originally intended to make an announcement by 10th June 2020 on the Opt In date, with a provisional expected date of approx 17th June 2020.

Given the above related to 0.9.6.1 the launch date of the Opt In needs to occur after 0.9.6.1 has been released and the team has had proper time to test the Opt In clients and data collection tooling on the latest version. Once the 0.9.6.1 model updates have been applied and verified by the team a target Opt In date will be announced. We expect to be able to announce this in the next couple of weeks as we get to the 0.9.6.1 release target.

For an update on current state of Opt In related components and tooling:

    Client and library work will be updated after the 0.9.6.1 release, this includes the mobile and desktop clients. Once updates are validated we will be targeting a small public beta test period.
    Data extraction & validation routines will require an update pass as well for the latest model and transaction changes.
    End to end system testing will be performed. Additional testing will occur in an ongoing manner to ensure the solution is robust and scalable for public network launch processing.
    The team will be targeting a small public beta testing period for those interested in testing and providing feedback for test net usage, more announcements to come soon related to how you can participate.

The good news is that any change in Opt In date has no impact on Launch Date, the minimum time targeted for Opt In pre launch is ~3 months, and we have ~5 in the plan. Further information on Opt In launch this will be provided in the coming weeks as 0.9.6.1 is finalized and released.

As a final note, to date I have been focussed on the program and the shift of operations from the NEM Foundation to NEM Group. However I will be posting out a wider NEM Group update next week and will be more active with communicating to the community over the coming weeks."
