But actually the value of the "original" share will not be adapted or diluted. On the market regulators (if any   ) the original XEM will not start the day with a smaller value (because it "transferred" part of its value to symbol token).

I remember them talking about tax considerations influencing the nature of the snapshot and distribution process so someone official there, there's no one official here, should give you an idea. I can't remember myself.

here I see Binance staking XEM coins, most likely binance supports XEM for snapshots, that's just my prediction

can you leave that damn Yobit exchange, almost all the wallets there are not updated even to update their wallet they charge a fee so i advise you to leave the scam exchange

It happened on the 15th of this month and you don't need to register, just save in a wallet that supports the event, specifically the XEM wallet

I think that it is not.
The account must be attached to the "opt-in" process; e.g. in the NEM wallet will be a method (command or something) and by using that method you tell to the XYM system that you want XYM coins.

No, today is the first day to opt-in and will run until before launch in December 2020.

If you didn't opt-in before launch date; you will be able to Opt-in for up to six years after Symbol launches and receive the same balance in XYM as you held in XEM at Snapshot.

However, in order to receive the XYM at launch date, you need to opt-in before launch date in December.  You must have balance in your XEM wallet at snapshot time in order to receive free XYM equivalent.

Download the wallet with the opt-in module:

Install on your machine.  Open the wallet, login.

Go to services, go to the opt-in option and follow the opt-in wizard step by step.

The opt-in process will generate your XYM wallet address, your mnemonic passphrase, and VFR keys (if you will be using for harvesting).

Save these to a safe backup location, opt-in complete.

You need 100 XEM minimum in your wallet, there is a transaction fee of around 1.05 XEM.

Keep your XEM in your XEM wallet until the time of snapshot to receive free XYM at Symbol launch.

Any transactions after the snapshot will not count towards free XYM.
