PSU 750 minimum to get 4xPCi's.
Why can't you use a couple of splitters on CX600M or even CX500M (maybe too close for comfort). KnC is pushing ~400W through one PCIe cable, but they are cooling the plastic connector through a hole/fan. I am not suggesting to do it, though.

S3 need 4 PCI-E cables for 390 to push. Wonder why? May be more DC-DC or, Two blades are power split blades to from (2x2)x2? ! One more fan there.

I think the 4 x pci-e connections is for those who want to overclock , the 2 conections is ok for 390watss , but not for 600watts overclocked to ???GHs

S1 and S3 are almost identical layout. They have replaced the screw type cable connector with an extra PCI-E socket. If S1 can handle 190 watts on one PCI-E then so can the S3. Some of the cheaper psu's have small cables, so if you use the cheapest, then you will need the extra connector. Overclocking will need the extra connectors.

WHY THE FUCK they replace the screwdown terms?! those are incredibly useful for cheap server PSU's ... thats stupid...

This way you have to add pcie connector to each psu. im using dell psu and now again I have to change connectors. will see.

One parameter is missing, the price of S3 to answer.

well its ur choice... i think bitmain will delay S3 again it just too good to be true, 4 PCI-E but only 390w even if so... s3 wont be that cheap... i assume its around 1btc - 1.5btc new generation, but cheaper? re u kidding me?

S3 has got to be cheaper than old S2 in $/Gh S2 can be had for $1450 for 1000Gh so S3 must be less than $725 for 500Gh

At 1 BTC not sure i would buy
At 15% diff increase per cycle it would take around 100 days to ROI.
If diff increase are higher in average it might never ROI.

You gotta be real carefull with splitters, I have melted 2 plugs so far and they were only pulling 400 watts through them

S3 is 2 blades with 2 connectors each That would make sense but why does it say 4x6pin PCI required? maybe a typo edit. S3 Specs Effective Hash Rate: 504 GH/s±5% Power Consumption: 390 W on wall Power Supply: 4 +12V DC input, PCI-e connectors
