So the set-up you gave me is for litecoin mining. So litecoin has the same algorithm as nexus niro? At this point, I don't think I can shell out that much money.

Is anyone willing to sell some of their nexus niro's on the current market price? I currently have .1 btc available and willing to trade.

No it's not the same but the setup of hardware is then it's the software that's tweaked and changed for nexus algorithm. Better to just but them unless you have free electricity.

Everyone,

Thanks for explaining how the Proof of Stake works.
By the way, so there is no way for me to do PoW using my laptop?
Do you guys have a tutorial on how to build a cheap miner, or if i can use the usb sticks?

I am really glad on this thread. It represents the Nexus project very well, which is built on trust.

No problem what so ever. Remember, if you have any urgent questions the fastest way to talk to other miners, members of community and dev team is VIA slack. We are very active on there and have members worldwide so you can basically get your questions answered at any time of the day.

Email preston@nexusoft.io with your email account associated with your slack account for an invite to slack

The only exchange, for the moment is bittrex.  You should open an account and place a few buy orders a little below the market price. Chances are good it might settle a bit before heading back up.  Although you never can tell in crypto and there's a lot of excitement here about the possibility of Nexus being the first orbital crypto network....

If you are unable to use bittrex you can come to slack and I am sure some people will exchange you some Nexus for Bitcoin. Plenty of miners on there who are willing to help distribute to those who cannot use bittrex in their states.

Nexus is in search of concepts for a new and better logo. Try to picture something that we will never change.

We are reaching out to the community for concepts and we have had a few submissions so far in Slack. Please feel free to design and submit your own concepts. All criticisms and ideas are welcomed. Here are some submissions we have so far.

Once we have found a concept the community likes we will have a logo professionally made. If you are a professional graphic design artist feel free to contact us as well.

Ok, thank you all..

I think now it's all "good", except that no matter what I do, I'm stuck at 0.2.0.2, and cannot update to 0.2.0.3

No matter what I download, what I delete or rename, that's the ver I get with getinfo...

Regards!!

Willy

Bump??

Thanks!!

Willy

Anyone willing to spend sometime on this??? I'm getting no where on my own, and I've bumped the question several times...

Just in case, I have requested the salck invitation. If it gets here, I'll try there, see if it's any better then here...  Sad

Do I know anyone?? Does anyone know me??

I missed this getting bumped as well. Slack is much more responsive, that is where a lot of the community is right now. We are trying to pop in here as well though.

What OS are you on? I can help you out.

Slack Conversation I believe should be read on here.
(There are many important conversations within slack community which you shouldn't miss)

wvbitcoinboy:

"If the white paper gets rewritten, I'm probably giving up on Bitcoin as it will finally be a "failed" project. I hope Nexus can take its place and doesn't get bastardized if and when @videlicet allows other developers to commit changes. I feel Bitcoin has been totally hijacked. First block size limits to promote Blockstream, now a white paper rewrite because it's getting "outdated?" This is an outrage. I wish Satoshi would have left a backdoor to kick every developer out of they did this shit. :/ Sorry, I am angry and ranting because I'm sick of Blockstream basically screwing up the best thing the world has ever seen."

videlicet( Colin Cantrell):

"Yeah it's becoming more centralized what I wrote about in my article decentralize decentralization

"With no checks and balances this will further deem the control into fewer and fewer hands as more people contribute resources in the form of investments, computational resources, and developmental innovation. This is what has allowed governments in the centralized systems to further centralize the power to be of benefit to only their own needs rather than the needs of the whole of their people.
Decentralized systems such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash, MaidSafe, Ripple, and many others will compound this problem as adoption rate increases whether from inner industry adoption (Bitcoin investors) or real world adoption (New Investors). This will also further promote their own centralized desire no matter the extent of their belief in decentralization, for the greater the personal benefit to these pooled governors the greater their desire to portray the image of decentralization for their greater benefit.""

Excellent work boiling this down to some key points!  This hits on a lot of good stuff and reduced the length significantly.

I like the current logo, working on new OP, we may start a new thread and lock this one, since this one you have to read a few 100 pages to know what we are all about. This thread was started 2 years ago to figure out what the community wanted to see in a coin. We've gone sooo far past that.... we've almost hit space. Grin

I like the current logo too. Just needs a little polishing. Locking this thread for historic purposes seems like the best idea. "we've almost hit space. Grin"
