Anybody, who is mining NXS with GPU, can you tell us your hasrate and how many blocks you find average per day???

I'm pretty sure your miner version is outdated.

Its some bug. You are mining a wrong block header and basically wasting hashing power. The miner needs to be fixed.

Nexus network was attacked recently which is why the wallets are down on Bittrex and Cryptopia.  If you are in our Slack group, you would know that Nexus team was successful in fending off this attack to the chain and prevented double spending.  We are working to bring exchange wallets back online.  These early attacks on the network are good for Nexus, as it strengthens the network and helps us close any attack vectors.  Nexus has been under heavy attack since the beginning, but it has escalated intensely over last few months.

Please check here to make sure you are on the correct block height: http://nexusoft.io/platform/

Using the Nexus-QT, go to Help --> Debug Console to see which block your wallet is on.

If your wallet forked off the main chain during the attack, you can fix this fairly easily.  


On Windows, make sure you can see Hidden Items (or Hidden Files/Folders) in your Windows Explorer

Then go to C: --> Users --> (PC Username) --> AppData --> Roaming --> Nexus

1.  Backup wallet.dat by copying it to another folder
2.  Backup any Nexus.conf files you have IF you are mining (you probably won't have any config files if you are not mining)
3.  Then Delete everything EXCEPT your wallet.dat and any config files
4.  Download the blockchain bootstrap here if you don't want to redownload the whole chain from peers: http://nexusminingpool.com/downloads/blockchain.rar
5.  Unpack the database files into the Nexus folder
6.  Now run the Nexus-QT.exe client again
7.  Wait for wallet to load (can take ~20 mins to load database)

This is based on the assumption that a quantum computer wouldn't be able to complete this many iterations, it may not be able to now ( I don't have the data currently if it does or doesn't ), but it definitely will be able to in the future. But either / or, Nexus is still 5 to 10 times as secure as bitcoin in cryptographic functions which means that the strength of the Nexus network has that many multiples of resilience more compared to the Bitcoin network.

Everyone else having the berklee DB database corruption, please join slack (http://nexusearth.com:3000) for better support and instruction to get this to work. You need to dwonload a new bootstrap and clear all files but wallet.dat in your home / appdata folder for Nexus, and copy the bootstrap back in.

I would recommend the LLD update. It is currently still in Alpha phase testing, but has been 100% stable since I released it on the inner community close to a month ago.
For those that don't know what the LLD is:

Lower Level Database

I have been working on this for close to six months. It is a ACID database written from complete scratch that operates 10-15 times faster than any MySQL, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Access, MongoDB, ect. database. This means: I programmed a database and engine from scratch down to binary serialization and indexing, ect that operates at 10-15 times faster than any database that exists today. This has brought the Nexus LLD build to 40-50 second bootup time compared to around 10-15 minutes with BerkleDB (Oracle).

I also designed an efficient key system I call the keychain database that stores the binary location of the sectors on disk and also acts as a multi map allowing a key to have any sized sector by piecing the sector together from different binary locations. This in the future when fully integrated into the Core with new architecture will allow the Keychain to be stored and services on the Blockchain which will allow the Nexus network to partition the database by trust and commitment to allow a Blockchain of thousands of terabytes while the required hard drive usage will be alloted by your node. This will work in conjunction with Merkle Chains, Transaction Nodes, and Archive Nodes to create technology that allows global scaling with blocks that can be as small as 100 kB and still handle large transaction volumes.

More to be revealed in the upcoming white paper release v2 that will contain all the architecture that I have been designing over this past year. This will act as a blueprint for anyone else that wishes to help contribute to Nexus Development to eventually be given to Bitcoin to help both networks scale into future adoption.
